I am debating on a set of new coilovers for my sky. The car does not see track use, I don't street race, it's my daily driver but it will have a V8 in it once done.

I only worry about the extra weight in the front and putting too much weight on the factory springs

I don't want to spend a thousand or more for a new set of coilovers unless I have too.

on the other hand could I swap for a new set of springs to handle the extra load

anyone ever tried the ST coilovers by kw I can get them new for around $800

I'd go for the BC Racing all round - right at the $1,000 mark, BUT you get new springs AND adjustable shocks, AND adjustable spring abutments to allow an impressive range pf adjustment to suit your future needs.

I'm installing the ST coilovers by KW on mine this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes. Theyre a carbon copy of the KW v1, but theyre heavy galvanized steel instead of stainless. The warranty is 5 years instead of lifetime. I ordered mine for 850 and it came with a $100 mail in rebate for a total cost of $750.
