I'm installing a kenwood DDX319 deck. The question is do I eed to add the xm adapter to this or will my the adapter. As y'all know we have xm in our cars and mine is active. Any input would be great.

I bought a seperate XM Sirius module with my Kenwood, as I did not have XM. You may be able to re-use what you have. Your Kenwood store may be able to answer definitively.

Well I installed my radio tonight.

Looks great! How hard was it to do? How does it sound?

Not to hard. Just a little time spent hooking up the wiring adapters. Plus I had to hookup a new XM module an antenna. Sound great, still playing with the settings. Got the deck from crutchfield for $249. Was a rebuilt unit. They sold out the next day.

Just curious ,if you already have the VCIM unit what does the GMOS-LAN-04 do to maintain
factory installs.Also When I install the XM tuner even though I have all the factory XM (I assume when I remove factory head unit I will loose it also) if I put the XM tuner on top of the VCIM can I just use the XM antenna connection there or do I need to run the antenna that comes with the XM adapter?(GEXP920XM)
