Hi folks, new to this forum. Recently purchased a 2008 GXP. What a fabulous car, just love it. A quick question, how do I know if the car has a stage 2 kit. The reason I ask is, I was looking at the MAP sensor this morning and noticed it was a Bosch and looks like plug in was altered. I jotted down the number and checked the internet. 0 281 002 845. It is the sensor with the GMPP kit. Their is no sticker anywhere that I can see. Just wondering if this car already has the GMPP kit that I wanted to get.

Since the car is new to you, I highly recommend that you go to your favorite GM dealer and have them pull and print out a copy of the vehicle history report. It will contain a wealth of information, including if the GMPP tune is installed. It will also include the inservice date and location (state) as well as all recalls that have been applied along with every maintenance action taken by a GM maintenance facility. Its free.

Steve,
That is the part number for the 3 MAP sensor that comes with the GMPP Kit.
The answer is you do have it. Now make sure the wire connections are solder.
If they are not then you should solder them to avoid problems with intermittent connection issues.
Also as Rob indicated the Dealer can also give you what else has been done to the car.

Well, it's not just me that says that. But yes, pics or it didn't happen.

Welcome sye!

Oh, and TX - do I have to take a protractor home to measure the number of beers you owe me on that mirror issue?

Soldering those connections is necessary on the older version of the GMPP tune. I got the newer version from Tom at crate engine depot, and the connections have all been updated to a plug and play version. If you have the older one- definitely solder them.
