On Friday I was on my way to work and we had a brief dusting of snow, the roads were clear and I was buzzing along. I take a back road through a National Park, on a portion of that road it seems the snow had melted and refrozen as ice. I usually don't even take the Solstice out when there is ice or snow but I didn't expect this. Their were at least 6 cars off the road in the woods or ditch at the section of road I was going down, nothing serious. I just took it easy and drove though without issue. The factory tires that came on the car would have had me in the ditch I am sure, the Nitto's never even spun. The Nitto's are a high performance all season tire and are a bit slick in winter when they are cold but warm up pretty quickly, I am very impressed with them as in warmer weather they are very sticky. I did not expect them to be very good on winter roads, nice surprise. Thanks for the recommendation Discount Tires!
