Hi there.
In 2009 I purchased coupe (647) new, and in September 2013 traded it off in a deal to get my wife a new vehicle. I/we struggled with the decision but it spent more time parked in our driveway, or garage, than it did being driven. This forum was a great resource. Thanks

Sad to see you "walk away" from such an incredible machine, but we are (speaking on behalf of the entire forum) glad you got something out of it and embraced its value.

Best wishes to you, your wife, and your wife's new (future) vehicle. Merry Christmas and stay safe~

So, those of us who have been discussing the coupe's value would really like to know what kind of $ you got out of the coupe.
Being that he traded it at a dealer, it would not be relevant pricing, and even more-so considering he's in Canada.

I'm sure who ever buys it will be thankful the previous owner took such good care of it. BTW, care to share what dealer you traded it in too? Be interesting to find out if they keep it and sell it or ship it off to an dealer auction.

Because prices and trade values are wildly different here than in Tenessee. We pay thousands more here to begin with and sometimes get more in trade. Comparing the Canadian trade value to your regions value would be - at best - misleading
Correct - the dealers try to show your trade as high as possible so you'll think you are getting a better deal than you would if you sold it privately.

Private sales are a much better measure of market. And what he said about Canadian prices. I'd have to check at home but I think our list prices were at least $5K more than yours.

Trade in value

Hi folks
Ref trade in value, they gave us $23,000. I thought it was reasonable but am pretty sure I could of got more in a private sale. I have not looked in a couple of weeks but the coupe was listed in Canadian Auto Trader for $23,500, by the dealer Western Buick GMC of Edmonton. Considering we traded in Sept, it would of been tough to sell until next spring. My wife got a loaded 2014 Buick Enclave out of the deal. Thanks for the best wishes, and happy holidays folks.
