You're right IBDRINKEN, generally the only parts that Norm paints before they leave the shop is the rear fascia.

Norm's site shows list for side skirts as 395, plus, when I last bought from him he would paint it any Sol color you wanted.
The skirts look strange when shown upside down.
RR,
Thanks for the information. This comes very close to the line. The forum rules state that no "negative comments" should be interjected into a for sale by owner thread. Thanks

The picture is evidence of condition and ownership.

I have personally purchased many of Norm's parts and in every case the cost for the part is in primer. If you want him to paint the part for you, then he always charges for his labor and materials. The implication of your post is that the $395 price included painting to match the car which is not the case.

If my comment came across as close to the line; that was not my intent. I thought the price was on the high side, even without the painting consideration. I wouldn't think feedback on price would be considered negative commentary. In fact, I see it quite often.

My experience with Norm was, in fact, in buying a rear facia.

I always liked the look of the side skirts, but I'm concerned about painting them to match my cool Sol. I had read, on the Forum, of the difficulty of matching the cool color. In fact, my rear facia is a slight mismatch, but in that location it is not critical. I've decided the side skirts would probably be a more sensitive location. And, I don't want to get into painting the whole car. So, I'm reluctant to take a chance.

V8THIS, good luck with your sale. Try shipping by Greyhound. Much cheaper. Only a day or two.

Well, I think it's time to finally give Norm a call and place my order for the vented fenders and sideskirts. I've procrastinated too long.
Great plan

Just be prepared to wait a month or so for the parts. Norm builds most parts to order. or his daughter does. :grouphug:

Plan for build time and you will be very happy

For what it's worth I purchased a set of ZR1 /TA fenders from Norm and when I ordered them I talked to Norm's daughter and she told me that unpainted fenders would be done in a month and painted ones would take longer and she could not give me an exact date .Four weeks later the fenders were at my door for me the paint was not a problem as I wanted to get some minor touch ups done at the same time .

Don't tell anyone but when I met with Norm and his daughter at SEMA, they told me she makes ,any of the " routine " parts. So the secret is to get on her schedule
