As this Sol Season comes to an end it is time to do what I do every winter.:willy: Sit around and think about Mods for next season. Wondering if the retractable license plate holder ( pictured ) can be used with Norm's GXP Front Splitter?
Also, feel free to add pics to this thread if you have this splitter.

I love your work. If by chance you see this post would love to know the height in inches of the scoop on your new "conservative hood" that you are designing. As I mentioned before I am after something that is subtle....not to over the top.

I feel a spring road trip to Norm"s in 2014....,

Thanks Norm. Hopefully retractable works with splitter. Can't wait on the hood. I will reach out to you if I decide to come your way. Would want you to install and paint everything on my "Norm's List"

I would like it painted to match prior to you shipping it to me though. can you PM me a rough estimate for the hood painted and shipped once you have the run into production? It's on my next spring to-do list along with your side skirts and maybe the diffuser rear valence also.

Already have the GM lip spoiler on my Sol. The stripe packages are not for me as I have the GM luggage rack on the deck lid so it would not flow. The scoop in my opinion will flow with the look of my car. The splitter is something I really like also.:thumbs:

Does anyone make a carbon fiber rear valence for the Dual Center Exhaust? I l ove the look of the dual center and thinking that if i cant find one made of carbon fiber or the cost is prohibitave than maybe I'll see if I can have one of Norm's rear diffused fascias wrapped with that C Fiber look

Northern Sol Steve from Solo had one on his car and DDM put it between the space in the lower Opening . His car was the Intrudder The Black Solstice W/ red scoops on the hood. I think theres a vedio of it working after DDM finished it at the Southern Md Mods meet 6 or 7 . worked great

Thanks for the response. This is good news. Do you remember off hand if it was the mortorized retractable plate? I was looking at close ups of "Spedee's" Sol and it looks like that is what he did also.:thumbs: Now, I just have to wait to see pics of the completed "conservative hood".:thumbs:

I know. She was a beauty. A lot of what Spedee did is what I will be doing.:thumbs: i have the manual retractable plate on my Sol. Am thinking if I go with the GXP splitter I will upgrade to the motorized retractable plate if it fits.

I just got a call from Norm. I am going with all of above and will go with Gloss Black surround from Tony at ASAP. 2013 ain't even over and I am starting my 2014 mods!:willy: The new "conservative hood" will be ready for spring. My life long dream of going to Mishawaka will now become reality!:willy::thumbs::willy:

Update

Got word from Michael at Race Mesh that my black chrome foglight bezels, lower valence and the piece for the front of my hood scoop has shipped. Also, heard from Tony at ASAP that the black gloss film for my front window surround and rear tulip has also shipped. Now, if Spring will sprung I can get rolling on this.....might be a long wait to roll!:devil:

Attached is a pic that Michael sent me that shows a mean sol "Race Mesh / Norm's masterpiece". It has the black chrome race mesh kidney grills, bezels and lower valence plus Norm's GXP front splitter. This is how my baby will look when completed plus add to it Norm's one scoop conservative hood!

They are a complete replacement. I sold my plastic front kidney grilles when I had the Black Chrome ones installed. When the fog light bezels and lower valence are installed I will sell the original plastic ones. I obvoiusly, also love the look!:thumbs:
