Hello,

I registered just to get some information from the Solstice guys since the LE5 was the primary engine GM put into the car.

A brief intro, I own a 2006 Cobalt LS (2.2L L61) which I blew up and I am in process of building a hybrid LE61 (LE5 bottom end, forged) and (L61 head)

The LE5 that I bought came with an oil cooler, in which after searching for awhile found on here this thread http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/f64/need-help-2006-oil-cooler-issue-60160/#post902468

Which also references GM Part #89060546 which is a "kit" to replace the oil cooler for the second design.

I am curious as to what exactly is in this "kit" from GM or if I need to block off anything on the LE5. I can work with the hoses since the routing is similiar to the L61.

Oh and if you are curious as to my build, here is a link...

You may want to give the guys at DDM a call and see if they can help you with your question.
Also Werks should be able to give you some answers.
