At 1,300 miles my car was ready for it's first oil change. The Oil life remaining still said 88% but it was time to put in the good stuff. So I took it to the local Jiffy Lube type place and had them put in Mobile 1. Now the Oil Life Remaining says 85%???

I figured it may take a while to go back up but after a day and another 35 miles it's still at 85%, any thoughts? Does Mobile 1 make the car think the oil has more contaminents?

The Oil Life System must be reset manually. Here is the Owner's Manual Intructions:

The Engine Oil Life System calculates when to change your engine oil and filter based on vehicle use. Anytime your oil is changed, reset the system so it can calculate when the next oil change is required. If a situation occurs where you change your oil prior to a CHANGE OIL SOON message being turned on, reset the system.

After changing the engine oil, the system must be reset as follows:

-Turn the ignition to RUN, with the engine off.

-Press the information and reset buttons on the DIC at the same time to enter the personalization menu. See DIC Vehicle Personalization .

-Press the information button to scroll through the available personalization menu modes until the DIC display shows OIL-LIFE RESET.

-Press and hold the reset button until the DIC display shows ACKNOWLEDGED. This will tell you the system has been reset.

-Turn the key to LOCK.

If the CHANGE OIL SOON message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the reset procedure.
