LOL...I couldn't think of a better word for the female owners. I've since changed the entire post, including the title.
I thought it was cute. Something totally new after 15 years is much appreciated.(y)

I understand completely the practice getting in an out since I am the same height, try 'falling' into the car, basically grab a hand on the top (or windshield trim if tops down) and stick your right leg in then 'fall' right into the seat. It takes some practice but once you get the feel of it theres no better way and congrats!
I’ve noticed a lot of solstices and sky’s have punctured and ripped steering wheel leather. I think it’s because people wearing belts or other sharp wardrobe items rub it getting in and out. Be careful with the steering wheels!

Great post Ms. Jen! I'm new here too and to the car. My wife fell in love with it too and still hasn't been in it with the top down, she went with me the second time I looked at it and I wanted to see how it sounded with the top closed which was surprisingly quiet. Just waiting on some dry warm weather but it's also giving me time to clean and mod. Welcome to the forum.. I've already learned a lot!

Welcome Ms. Jen. You will be "in love" for a long time with this car!

(And when you said you street raced in the mid-70's I took a look at your avatar pic and figured you must have been like 12 years old then? lol!)

Good people here with a lot of helpful advice.

howdy from florida again!!!.welcome!! so you have your own inhouse detailer...that must be nice, but...yup there is always a but, thats half the fun after a long deestressing drive.more deestressing detailing it. be sure to keep it in a garage /carport& covered.Im about 6.1 nowadays, and also used to race mopars, street&strip. stupidest thing I ever did was sell that car to build another car. did you get gxp or base model? we look forward to your pics!!

as for steering wheel damage I think it's rings&fingernails. my coupes wheel is afu from the owners rings& fingernails.( or she was chewing on it)

That's fine on the driver seat, BUT DON'T LET ANYONE DO THAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE! If you do, there's gonna be a $1000 bill in your future, to replace a broken Passenger Presence Sensor!

laugh I don't think my solstice has had more than 4 passengers the entire time I've owned it. Then again there is a company that makes a module to disable the sensor and make it assume there is always a passenger there, just don't ever have a child seat or anyone under 12 ride with you. Honestly though at this point any wreck will likely total out cars.

The module from Airbag 360 that plugs in to replace the PPS does not work. Several people have tried it without success, and I was given one of them to help in my research for one that does. The only aftermarket solution that is known to be viable at this time is to remove your airbag SDM and send it to Airbag24 in Germany to be reprogrammed. The SDM is located in the center of the car under the waterfall panel, so some disassembly is required to access it.

Been there, did both. I think postage to Berlin was around $24.

A funny thing happened a week ago. My hubby and I went to buy him a work van for his new auto detailing business, which he test drove and bought on the spot. While doing the paperwork, I happened to look out the office window and noticed this really cool-looking convertible sports car parked beside the van. I only saw the rear half and its super sparkly rims. It started "calling" me...really loud...LOL. I went outside to check it out and wondered what the heck kind of car it was. The sales rep explained, my hubby saw the glee in my face and wanted me to just get in. It was SO low I thought I would hit the ground! Both encouraged me to take it for a spin. No one had to tell me twice...I used to street race muscle cars back in the mid-70s in a loaded Barracuda with a 440 ;) so I had to see what it was made of. Now that I'm in my mid-60s, I've calmed down quite a bit (not!). Took the Solstice for a spin, came back and bought it...cash on the spot. The funny part is I'm 6ft tall and the hubs is 6'7" and by it sitting so low, I have to practice entering and exiting without further stressing the occasional sciatic issues in my legs...(who cares...I have a super cool car that one day will be a sought-after collector's item - hopefully). By the car being a 2-seater, only one seat will actually be occupied because the hubby can't really fit (aww...too bad!) and he doesn't care because he has the work van he's always wanted for his detail business. Guess we're both in love...LOL. All jokes aside, it's great to be here and hope to learn more about the 2007 from actual user experiences. Thanks for listening...
Welcome & enjoy your Sol!
You'll find that this forum is a wealth of information. I've had mine for over 10yrs now (black on black manual 06) & still love it.
Kind regards.

This is my wife's car. She got it BEFORE I got my Solstice. She likes dragons.
