I thought it was cute. Something totally new after 15 years is much appreciated.LOL...I couldn't think of a better word for the female owners. I've since changed the entire post, including the title.

I’ve noticed a lot of solstices and sky’s have punctured and ripped steering wheel leather. I think it’s because people wearing belts or other sharp wardrobe items rub it getting in and out. Be careful with the steering wheels!I understand completely the practice getting in an out since I am the same height, try 'falling' into the car, basically grab a hand on the top (or windshield trim if tops down) and stick your right leg in then 'fall' right into the seat. It takes some practice but once you get the feel of it theres no better way and congrats!
Lucky girl!Your not the only woman that recently got a Solstice. We gave our daughter this Brazen Orange Solstice Coupe View attachment 128388
for her 50th birthday last month.
Her grin tells me she likes it!
That's fine on the driver seat, BUT DON'T LET ANYONE DO THAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE! If you do, there's gonna be a $1000 bill in your future, to replace a broken Passenger Presence Sensor!I understand completely the practice getting in an out since I am the same height, try 'falling' into the car, basically grab a hand on the top (or windshield trim if tops down) and stick your right leg in then 'fall' right into the seat. laugh I don't think my solstice has had more than 4 passengers the entire time I've owned it. Then again there is a company that makes a module to disable the sensor and make it assume there is always a passenger there, just don't ever have a child seat or anyone under 12 ride with you. Honestly though at this point any wreck will likely total out cars. That's fine on the driver seat, BUT DON'T LET ANYONE DO THAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE! The module from Airbag 360 that plugs in to replace the PPS does not work. Several people have tried it without success, and I was given one of them to help in my research for one that does. The only aftermarket solution that is known to be viable at this time is to remove your airbag SDM and send it to Airbag24 in Germany to be reprogrammed. The SDM is located in the center of the car under the waterfall panel, so some disassembly is required to access it.laugh I don't think my solstice has had more than 4 passengers the entire time I've owned it. Been there, did both. I think postage to Berlin was around $24.The module from Airbag 360 that plugs in to replace the PPS does not work. My wife picked it out for me in 2018. 🙂Welcome from me too, Ms. Jen! I hope you enjoy the heck out of it. I have a yellow Redline (Saturn).
Thank you for sharing! 😊What a great post. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new car.
Here is a very useful new owner video. Saturn Sky and Sol are mostly the same quirks-wise so recommended viewing for a new owner:
Thank you for the Solstice luv. Hubby prefers to wave and watch...LolHello Ms.Jen and welcome to the forum family from central FL. Wonderful , fun cars. They do have some quirks but the good folks here can help you with them. Visit often and enjoy the rides.
(put the top down and hubby should be able ride with you)
Welcome & enjoy your Sol!A funny thing happened a week ago. My hubby and I went to buy him a work van for his new auto detailing business, which he test drove and bought on the spot. While doing the paperwork, I happened to look out the office window and noticed this really cool-looking convertible sports car parked beside the van. I only saw the rear half and its super sparkly rims. It started "calling" me...really loud...LOL. I went outside to check it out and wondered what the heck kind of car it was. The sales rep explained, my hubby saw the glee in my face and wanted me to just get in. It was SO low I thought I would hit the ground! Both encouraged me to take it for a spin. No one had to tell me twice...I used to street race muscle cars back in the mid-70s in a loaded Barracuda with a 440so I had to see what it was made of. Now that I'm in my mid-60s, I've calmed down quite a bit (not!). Took the Solstice for a spin, came back and bought it...cash on the spot. The funny part is I'm 6ft tall and the hubs is 6'7" and by it sitting so low, I have to practice entering and exiting without further stressing the occasional sciatic issues in my legs...(who cares...I have a super cool car that one day will be a sought-after collector's item - hopefully). By the car being a 2-seater, only one seat will actually be occupied because the hubby can't really fit (aww...too bad!) and he doesn't care because he has the work van he's always wanted for his detail business. Guess we're both in love...LOL. All jokes aside, it's great to be here and hope to learn more about the 2007 from actual user experiences. Thanks for listening...
