Body black is exactly what I'll be doing mine.. I've already done the steering wheel and handbrake trim.
Painted boomerang panel thoughts...
I hate the dull gray boomerang on my '06 Solstice. Have seen the pictures of others painting their panels body color. My car is black so thought about gloss black. But then I got to thinking of my old MGB and how it had the wrinkle finish on the dash. I am now toying with the idea of a black wrinkle finish on the boomerang panel! If I were to do this, it would be a winter project. Your thoughts?...

He didn't say waterfall... he said boomerang...I have had the dash, forward console and door inserts painted gloss black. As long as they add the proper amount of additive to ensure it remains flexible it works great. No reason why the same process could not be used on the waterfall. If you leave it with the factory finish and spray over the top it will come out looking wrinkled. :thumbs:
Yet they pretty much refused to do one for me saying it would last (edges would peel and shrink). They second time I asked, the price went up $100 and they still wouldn't recommend.Chop Top, thank you for including me in the "Best Boomerang" awards show! I love the look, but if the vendor so obviously won't stand behind it...
And I'm in WA where it's cloudy 9 months out of the year... And it's garaged at both ends of my commute...Joe made aware of his concerns. It really comes down to how long you have it baking in the sun and taking care of it. My Sol is parked in underground parking where I live. I bought a windshield sun reflector which I use religiously when she is parked in the sun. I also make sure to moisturize / balm the all of my leather a couple of times per season. As I said in earlier post been a year and all good.
Bottom line, if you are in a year round hot climate then this would not make sense. Up here in Canuck land it is fine.:thumbs:
anyways.. with the price increase and his reluctance (plus shipping back and forth) it seemed less feasible.
