The dealer was able to get a bank to match my credit union (Andrews FCU) and bank (USAA) rate...
4.99% for 60 months.

Another forum member got 4.24% on a 60 month...so I'm checking around and may pay off the loan and finance with another bank/credit union.

I may try that.... What are the qualification guidelines to become a member?
Do you have to be active duty/reserve or family member?

What kills me is CDs pay more than some of those loan rates charge:

Indymac CDs - APR - APY
3 Month 3.68% 3.75%
6 Month 3.97% 4.05%
9 Month 4.02% 4.10%
1 Year 4.21% 4.30%
18 Month 4.26% 4.35%
2 Year 4.40% 4.50%
3 Year 4.40% 4.50%
4 Year 4.50% 4.60%
5 Year 4.50% 4.60%

Save your cash in a CD, finance the car, and make money on their money

I Believe bankrate.com might help you all out.

I am part of it by being a family member. Obviously you can if you are active and I am not sure about reserves, but I would think so. I think that the family member has to be part of your closest (what is that called nuclear?) family, so they can't be an uncle or anything. \

Time to do the financing. My credit union - Digital Federal Credit Union - has a 5 year rate of 5.45%.

Who's credit union can do better?

Thanks!

4.99 for 30 to 36 mo.
5.25 for 37 to 60 mo.

Fixed rate - simple interest - very easy to apply - you get a blank check that you can fill out for the amount up to what you applied for and it's good for 45 days - I have my check already in my safe waiting for my car!

Best no hassle deal around, and you know in about 2 min's when you apply on line. They send the blank check same day.No penalty if you pay it off sooner.
