There is on the Solstice coupes.... a sticky in the coupe forum. One of our forum members spent many, many weeks pulling the build sheets in GM's vehicle locator system until he found info on all 1,266 coupes manufactured.

The problem with doing something like this for all of the Solstices (Solstii??) is that someone would have to do the same for the 64,458 Solstice convertibles.

GM provided the production per year, that's why we have it, but I'm not sure someone would (could) do the legwork (finger work) required to gather info on 64k+ convertibles. A tall task, indeed...

Short form = "NO". It would be nice if we did have that info, but it would be way too much work to get it.

Note: Whatever information you have, hold on to it, because it is near impossible to go back in GM's publicly available records past the bankruptcy in 2009. Today's GM is a different corporate entity than the former GM that produced the Solstices and Skys (and any other GM cars before the "new" GM took over operations from "old" GM.)

The total numbers don't match up with the model year production numbers, but they are close enough so that the totals are believable, and they are as close as you are going to get with Compnine's sometimes flaky data.

It's too bad that Compnine doesn't publish the "rarity" numbers any more in it's reports. It makes it almost impossible to get numbers like these today.

Thank you for sharing these numbers, I quick threw them into a spreadsheet to maintain for posterity.

Great job guys!

This affirms what my research has dictated about my rare Magnetic Paint on my 2008 GXP manual.

58 MAGNETIC
274 total made in year 2008 only.

I ran a Compnine vin # check on my car and came up with a different production number for an Envious Green (38u) car.According to my list they only produced 630 in 2007 and the above posts show 870 a difference of 240 cars. One note on the list is an 05 code before the 38u code- Primary Color Exterior ,Emerald Jewel Met (05) (38u) as listed .Does anyone know what the 05 code is as it does not show up on any lists I have, why the big discrepancy in numbers ? I have a Wilmington Production list and the number of cars produced in 2007 matches 24018, no breakdown as to colors produced.I have done numerous searches to try and find out how many cars were produced with the particular options that are on my car the biggest thing is a base car with the sand &steel interior and the tan top to no avail.I have seen one other Solstice in the Cleveland area that is Envious Green but it has a black top. This past summer I ran into a group of Kappa owners on Woodward before cruise and had a few comment that they had never seen a green one before as I have never seen a white one till I saw Ghost's car. It's too bad that we can't find specific production numbers I have a couple of friends who have older cars ie: muscle cars and there are people out there who can document your car Marti Report for Fords /Govier for Mopars/PHS for Pontiacs etc.Is it that Pontiac later on did not keep specific numbers for our cars or is there an option out there to find this information that I have not found yet?

Great info 56XK140.

Where did you get this ?
Data was from Compnine old site. You could enter a year and an RPO code and get rarity facts. As stated by DaveOC Compnine no longer reports rarity statistics.

The total in the color table is 63730 , but there were 65724 Solstice built.

Could this difference be exported cars ? Or did Compnine list exported cars as well ?
Compnine was always flawed by not accounting for all vehicles. Case in point, for my coupe color (Mean Yellow), it lists that there were only 33 manufactured, when there were 37 total manufactured. Multiply that by all of the colors (including more for the not-so-rare colors), and I'm sure you'll find the reason for your discrepancy.

I dunno.... it's just going to take someone to sit down and create a 64,458-vehicle info breakdown for the 'verts. Who wants to be in charge? :lurk:

How can you tell the difference between Mysterious, Magnetic, and 'Carbon Flash'? How do I know exactly what color my vehicle has? *confused*

Magnetic is the Solstice name for Carbon Flash. They are the same, and heavily metallic. Mysterious is a non-metallic black.
