I had hoped that might be the case. However, so far not so much.

I helped work on a friends car Saturday. All his lug nuts were over torqued by his local tire shop. So badly that the shoulders of the nuts are deformed and no longer will accept a normal socket. We literally had to pound the socket onto his nuts with a hammer to get them off. Replaced them with a cheapo set from AutoZone but I ordered him a set of bright blue nuts from Amazon. Hopefully his nuts will return to normal this weekend.

The new tulip panel arrives tonight! I looked at the replacement parts to repair the flap and hinges and found it prohibitively expensive. But I did find a Sky tulip panel on eBay for about 25% of the cost of the replacement parts. This after I discovered that just about all the wear parts are no longer available. Pictures to come.

Was nice to see it in person. And talk with the guys who built it. They are very nice guys and easy to talk with. I was impressed.

Took Punisher out for a ride today. Drove some nice roads for over an hour. All speeds, from 20 to 110. temps were great. Until I pulled into the garage. then the fan came on after shutting the car down. It ran till the battery went almost dead. I ended up using my lithium starter battery which worked GREAT. Started right up. The temp was 190. I am beginning to think that there might be an issue with the temperature sensor. I am putting in the mechanical sensor this winter so comparing the two should be educational.

After starting the car, the lithium battery went from 99% to 97%. Lots of power there. Was very happy with the result.

Got the Dragon's caliper covers installed. They look great. Since they are BRIGHT light green they really show up well. Pretty happy with the results. Took the wife out for a 90 minute "test" drive. Really lowered her stress level.

I finally got around to test fitting the new replacement alternator. It did not fit. The joys of a March Performance accessory set. All the parts, AC, tensioner, power steering pump, and alternator are over the counter parts that have been modified. And no parts info is supplied. The tensioner is from Masda, the PS pump is an 89 Pontiac Sunbird ....still trying to figure out the alternator

So the science project that is my car has possibly yielded more information. The correct March Performance alternator is P574. The P573 is 100 watt the P574 is 140 watt. sigh
