Time to update info on PunisheR Hauler the Third.
After making the trip to the Michigan Nationals in the RAM 1500 we made the decision it was time to get Mo Power! The hemi did well but the rest of the drivetrain was not happy at all. It was in 5th and 6th gear much of the time, seldom making it into 8th. The sound of an unhappy transmission was obvious. Also it was getting about 120 miles per TANK. We had to stop at nearly every fuel stop we found out on the road which made the trip onerous and looooooong.
So we started shopping and worked a good deal on a RAM HD 2500 with a Cummins. With that platform, the 14000 pound gooseneck trailer is much easier.
We started with a work truck and have done a few mods.
