So after 15 years of the Rocky Mountain Solstice and Sky Club I finally decided it was time to make badges!

We have a pretty good turnover of new members and when we have events I know everyone but I forget that not everyone else knows everyone. If that makes sense. Then I feel like an idiot because I did not make introductions.
So, in light of the fact that we are coming ot the Nationals and it was time, I bought a badge printer and am making stinking badges for everyone! Then I don't have to remember anything!!! This is a sample

Having KAPPA training class graduate stickers made for the Nationals. When you attend the class, you get a sticker to put on your badge! So come to the class and get yours! If you attended a prior class you can get one too.

So I have been cogitating on how my trunk lid is fitting. I adjusted the hinges several times and got it close then decided to leave it for a few weeks. Then I got tired of looking in the mirror and seeing a gap on the left side of the lid. So I did two things. I loosened up the mounting bolts on the lid to hinge interface and improved the aligment and spacing, then I adjusted the latch on the trunk lid to tighten up the closed position against the trunk seal. I am much happier with the results. And its just another example of how much this cars body panels are adjustable.

I agree with the how much they are adjustable part......however I would add a qualifier in my case and that would be, 'if you know what you're doing'. The adjusting scares the heck out me, especially the hood. I am good with the fender panel.

I've aligned most (all?) of the body panels on my car at this point, since we had it apart for painting, and the amount of adjustments on this car is silly.

My then-wife was driving her 2007 Malibu (so, same era as our cars) when someone T-boned it and bent the passenger side rear door (fortunately somehow avoiding damaging the rocker panel or quarter panel). We found a salvage door in perfect condition, and planned on a day to swap doors and align it. We unbolted the old door, bolted the new one one, and it fit. Nothing to adjust. On the Kappa, the door hinges adjust both on the body and the door. Why could GM make the doors "just fit" on the Malibu but not the Solstice?

The solstice was on a limited production line and was designed to be hand assembled without the use of a lot of specialized tooling. The low production rate did not allow them to spend as much money as the much higher rate for the Malibu.

I ordered a Banks iDash gauge. I have one in the truck and like it. I am going to see if I can make it fit in the gas gauge area of the gauge cluster. Up front just behind the bezel. I ordered a spare bezel to experiment with. I did a dry fit and it looks like with some trimming here and there I can get it to fit behind the bezel. According to their website, it will display Fuel Tank Level in %. It also displays things like ambient air temp (yes indeed), intake air temp, Pressure altitude, engine load, horspower in %. fun stuff, But the main reason is to get a better fuel gauge.

Oh man i dont know how i posted the blower thing in your thread Rob.
Apologies!
PS i went on your idash link and was messing about and saw it only “supports” the 2.4l.
i assume thats just lazy data-basing on their part as i cant imagine it wouldnt work with either motor / ECM module?

Mounting the iDash. It fits well with a little trimming of the tunnel and the front bezel. I ran a test with a spare set. Good result.

It should cover both cars but we will give it a test.
