Today I was driving after just having a new alternator put in and my car started smoking when I stopped at a redlight. When I pulled over I saw that all my coolent fluids were boiling over. At the time my car was running at about 226 degrees, but no overheating light came on. I took my car to a jiffy lube I found down the street had my fluids refilled and they told me that my cooling fan was not turning on and needed to be replaced. Has this happened to anyone else?
BTW my car is a 2007 gxp

Good suggestion Hotrod. Also there is a thread recently about the fan controller on the GXP failing to turn on the fan. Since you have a GXP it does have the fan controller as part of the fan assembly.

Have you boosted the car with jumper cables for any reason lately? Doing it incorrectly can cause the fuse that warrenhotrod1 mentions to blow.
