I bought a used Solstice radio off eBay because my faceplate was all banged up.
I removed the boomerrang and pulled the radio out a few inches to replace the faceplate. I took the four screws out of the radio and installed the "new" radio, it plays but i can't change the channel and there is no read out on the dial. Did i buy a junk radio or am i missing something?
thanks

Wow, another thread.

First, did you get the same type of radio? If I recall, you have the base, non MP3, radio. If the second radio you got was an upgrade model with MP3, then the displays are different and it's unlikely to work.

All is not lost. You can swap the electronics board from your old radio faceplate to the 'new' faceplate plastic. There's quite a few small screws to remove (take notes and/or pics as you go) then the round knobs will snap out when pushed from the front. See the faceplate links I posted in my replies to your many other threads.
