Hello all, to those who know me I'm quite new to the community and am loving it! :)

For those who have read my first thread: http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/f12/several-minor-problems-78138/#post1160658 will understand my little bumper incident. Anyways, I was wondering what you guys think of a red bumper on a black Solstice. It might look bad or it could turn out well, or some of ya'll just want to see it for fun. Regardless I need to fix the crack in my bumper and paint it up sometime this month, so thoughts and further advice are appreciated. (Was hoping to fix it this week but due to a 3-5 business day shipping time and my concern for my A/C, I've decided to postpone it till further notice and extra preparation).

Currently, (before the incident, even though it's so close to the side it would look the same from this angle), my front bumper looks like this:

So the Poll is for 3 questions and is quite self-explanatory. Enjoy.

Sorry in advance for the picture, not quite sure how to get it in the format of the other users, so I just used tinypic and if you would right-click and select 'open image in new tab' to view.

In Ontario, Canada I believe the red light at the front is illegal, unless it is an emergency vehicle.

When you are on the tinypic page with the pic you wish to post, copy the text in the box to the left of the screen that starts with IMG and then paste that link in your message on this board where you wish the picture to appear.

If you want quote my message and on the resultant page you will be able to see what I did.

Well it is illegal here in the U.S. as well, as is the color blue... But it just looks so nice and I could not resist :D Besides I'm very understanding to where it is allowed and not allowed.

I voted black because a different color fascia is not going to look custom its just going to look like the wrong color fascia was all that was available. See it quite frequently, wrong color doors or fenders. First thing that comes to mind is the car was involved in a fender bender. If you see cars like this a year later you know they either don't care or can't afford to have it color matched.

Well I was actually planning on getting red brake calipers, a red spoiler, and red side skirts. Also paint my grill black. But this all would have to be done in a few months. So would it still look "bad?"

Yeah, once you get the spoiler and skirts and all that, I'd see where they line up and if anytyhing, do a small red stripe down the bottom or maybe on the sides tapering down but since the bumper is so high and mated up with the hood, it'll look like you got one from a junk yard off of a "mean" solstice. nothing more.

Basically primary color look better as a complimentary color when used on a primary color. For exampe; red calibers, red pinstripesk (or racing stripes) on a black exterior car. For example red pine stripes or a totally red interior in a black exterior car would be an he exception with a matching red racing stripe.

HOVER MOTOR COMPANY: Vineyard Church Grand Classic Car Show better than you might expect

Had a hard time finding black corvette w/red interiork but even this small thumbnail show how fantasic a black exterior w/red interior.

Now add a exterior Red Heritage raving stripe it and it would look totally outstanding.
