Any suggestions on how to fix the damaged leather on the top portion of the steering wheel?

I definitely don't want a full steering wheel slip-over cover. I looked on eBay but didn't see anything
specifically for Solstice.

The other portions of the steering wheel are fine. Open to ideas.

You could go to an auto upholsterer but as Showtime mentioned, just replacing the wheel with a used one in good shape would be cheaper.
Replacing the steering wheel is about a 15 - 20 minute job :)

I went to a Sky wheel on my Sol because it has red leather trim. The swap was pretty easy and did not take very long. The most challenging part was pulling the airbag. But after doing it the first time, I would not hesitate to do it again.

I had not thought about replacing the entire wheel. Thanks for the link and time-to-complete estimate - I would have thought it was more involved.

pull the wheel and send it to me and I will put new leather on it for you.

Or better yet I will have a used steering wheel coming up within a month or so. It's in really good shape little/no wear.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
