I'm not sure what I am going to do with them, and yes, I bought one of the passenger side from SourceOne a while back.

I find it amusing whenever you mention them being un-noticed, but I did trial fit the passenger side when I first bought it. It may have been because it is black and the car is carbon flash (ie: black metallic) but just about everyone that saw the car immediately asked about the different mirror.

I have never been asked about them, but mine are the exact same color as the car. No one has ever asked about them on the green car and it has been posted on this forum numerous times.

It took me telling Robotech they were on the car for him to notice them. I think being a different color would draw attention to them or any other mirror for that matter.

I had both cars at the National in Denver/Black Hawk. No one noticed them. I would think if they were that big of an issue, people that attend the National would have mentioned them. But not a single person did. The first weekend I had them on the car we had a run with the San Diego Roadster club. I think about 20 cars, all were told there was a major modification made to the car. No one including the president of the club who has owned a Solstice since they hit the road, and it a lead Tech for Toyota. A real car guy. Never did see them. I had to tell them what the modification was.

I would never take them off. But I admit, I was very hesitant about putting them on. As I only bought both sets to keep someone else from getting them. Lets just say he was not a favorite of mine. But he was exactly right about them coming out of the wood work in a few years. I really don't know how many the seller has, but more than he listed is what he told me. I haven't looked at the Ebay add since I bought the four. I only bought one from Source One, so I now have two extra driver side mirrors. My guess is someone will be looking for them in a few months.

I sold the one to Robert Neighbours for exactly what it cost me, plus the shipping to Canada.

Got my 2 reservoirs today. Thanks to all who did the leg work to put this together! Shipping only took 3 days.

I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.

There was a lot of discussion herein and I've gotten a little lost. Is there a link to purchase the reservoir or was this sort of a group buy?

Got my reservoir yesterday! All set for a weekend project.

Thank you Matt for the quick delivery and thank you Richard and all who helped dig these tanks out from deep inside a European warehouse.

I just ordered one, and they shipped it same day. Supposed to be delivered on 12-31. I am suspect it will be delivered on new years eve, but we will see.

Sorry to wake this post from the dead but will there be a possibility of getting more of these in stock in the future? I just recently bought a sky redline with the intent to do HDPE and eventually racing and this reservoir looks like the solution to my leaky reservoir woes. These cars are coming down in price putting them in a very affordable territory for track day cars. I expect to see a lot of renewed interested in them in the coming years....

You are only going to get a valid answer by contacting the seller.

Stumbled across this: 23359729 A Cadillac ATS/CTS brake reservoir. Looks very much like the Saab part. Not 100% the same, but very close. Probably easier to get, and only ~$19.00 new from GM (right now). Should be around a little longer too. Attached picture is a bit hard to compare to, but I have looked at them in person, very similar. I have one I'm go to try out soon. I'll take some pictures and report back...

(Probably others out there too. Anything with a Teves brake system would be a possibility. Need one that has the clutch takeoff though. Chevy Colorado is an example. Reservoir would fit, but isn't any bigger.)

2013+ ATS/CTS. Alpha platform cars. 6th Gen Camaro looks like it might work too. Dodge Challenger/Charger/300 (Mopar 68048549AB or similar). Appears there are quite a few options. As I said, I'll report back on the Caddy part...

Small update. Camaro is the same part as the Cadillac. Found three part numbers: 84614718, 23359729, 84456309 with the first being the latest.

84614718 replaces the other two numbers and comes on these cars, cap 84462233
  • Cadillac ATS 2016-2019 6 Cyl 3.6L V-SERIES 2 DOOR COUPE, V-SERIES 4 DOOR SEDAN
  • Cadillac CTS 2016-2019 6 Cyl 3.6L, 8 Cyl 6.2L4 DOOR V-SERIES SEDAN
  • Chevrolet Camaro 2016-2020 4 Cyl 2.0L, 6 Cyl 3.6L, 8 Cyl 6.2L2 DOOR CONVERTIBLE 1LS/1LT,.
How's the fitment? I think that's more important :)

Another small update. Got a hold of one of the GMPP/Saab/Opel reservoirs. Did some comparing. The GMPP and Alpha reservoirs hold just a tad over 16 ounces. The FCA one holds a bit more, around 20 ounces. I need to get the stock one off and measure it. It looks smaller when comparing the side view, but larger in plan view. I'll see what it's volume is, and get pictures of all of them. Right now, I think the GMPP one, or the Alpha one would perform about the same. Cap is higher and flatter when used in the Solstice. The FCA one might work too, but the cap would actually be tilted back. Good under braking. But it's an FCA part...
