I have seen special pieces to screw into the under body to engage the areas on a garage lift Are they necessary ? I have put only 1000 miles on my 2007 and haven't had a need to get it on a lift yet ? Should I be concerned when I lift it ?:smile2:

I picked up four hockey practice pucks from Dick's for under $10 total a few years ago. They are notched already, and sit perfectly at the lifting points.

I love how the reviews at their site include those that use them for jacking vehicles... and not just playing hockey.

When I took my Solstice in to my independent garage owner to have work done I told him about the lifting issues. His response was no problem, we have two lifts with adjustable pads. The pads screw up/down and the arms stay well away from the fenders. He said we always check every car anyway for clearance.

The GM dealer that use to sell and service Pontiacs, not so good.

Tim.
