Seat belt replacement instructions?

My seat belt retractor is jammed and need to take apart the car to get to it to replace or repair. Can someone provide or point me to very detailed instructions on how to do this and if there are any steps to be especially careful with. I'm particularly worried about breaking any of the covers/housings in removal or replacement and exactly how to do that.
