So do I get a prize for being the first to post a dyno graph?

1320 miles or so on the odometer.

Edit: Removed barely readable putfile version.

Congrats, but I can't read anything on that!

Um...

...is that good?
Only dyno I found for the NC is 134.1 Hp and 124.3 ft-lbs

If i have the weights right:

Sol
2860 lbs
21 lbs/hp
21 lbs/ft-lbs

MX-5 Miata
2482 lbs
18.5 lbs/hp
20 lbs/ft-lbs

My engine and the Miata's engine don't have a lot of miles on them, which may effect things too.

You get our undying thanks! :grouphug:

I would have thought it would dyno above 140HP but it is what it is... Thanks for the 1st ever Solstice dyno run. I guess this means you made history. :D

So if it had lighter tires would it get more power to the ground?

Only in the lower gears. Fourth gear wouldn't show much difference, but maybe a little if you dyno in 3rd.

That number looks a little low, I was expecting some where in the low 140's.

So was I. But didn't Ex-Miata Man say that the motor REALLY starts to come alive after about 2000 miles?

Slightly higher

My dyno, which I can not post yet, shows a little different set of numbers. Mine shows 139.78 Max Torque and 145.19 Max Power. This was all stock and run on 9/30. I will post the results in the next few weeks.

What is important here is to keep the revs above 4000 when accelerating hard. Below that the engine will lug. Chart confirms my real world experience.

Yep, that's why you shouldn't used chassis dyno numbers to judge "true" engine HP.

Now you all can see why I thought the 178 RWHP figures posted by Stainless Works in this thread were ludicrous.

Thanks Drex.
How much did it cost to get done?

Just remember as mentioned the engine only has 1300 mile son it, this might effect it some. Also not all dynos are the same. Depending on the type of dyno they measure HP differently and will give different values.

I'll get mine dynod after 1000 miles as well.

What could be causing that dip between 3-4k, it doesnt seem normal. The torque curve should be flat on a n/a engine.
And ya the hp is definetly low, there cant be a 30% drivetrain loss to the wheels.
23% loss. Still a little high, but I think with more miles on the engine it should improve. If it was putting down in the low 140's it would still be around a 20% loss.

The dip should be VVT. You can see the same dip in GM's enigine dyno here.

Anyone know if the other Ecotecs improve over time? Also, will LSD vs Open make much of a difference?
