Hello there, I guess this question has been asked before, but I'm new to this kind of thing, so, I was hoping to get some information and pricing for getting one of these bad boys over to the UK. Can anyone help? Such a beautiful car, we Brits don't get much of a choice when it comes to these, or if we do, it will be 3 x as much to buy. England sucks.

Another option just so you know it's there....Opel is rumored to be offering same car with different body style in mainland Europe maybe in 2007.

Bugger that! I want one now! $20k is about £11350, when this hitsw our shores, we will have to pay around £45K, so it's quite understandable that we want them over here as fast as possible!
Somebody please let me have one!!

It's not that hard. You will pay for the car GBP 12k or so, excise tax 10%, then VAT of 17.5% which comes to around 15.5k Sterling. Add in another GBP 1k for shipping, and 500 pounds more for SVA/MOT and light conversion and you are still only looking at GBP 17k.

Is is easy . . . not really if you do it all on your own.

Is it possible . . . yes, especially if you use one of the specialist importers of US spec cars, they generally add a few thousand quid onto the cost, BUT they will handle everything for you.

some of those companies are linked here:

I live in the UK, and have looked into this a few times, but I settled for a 2006 Ford Mustang GT.

Good luck.
