Don't know if this is old news or what, I just joined the board...it probably IS old news if GM's telling me, the dealer.

In GM DealerWorld we got colors and options on the Solstice today.

25U-Dark Blue (Same code used on full size trucks and SUV's)
34U-Yellow (Same code as yellow on Sunfires and Cavaliers)
38U-Emerald Green Metallic (Same code as Envoy's Green color)
41U-Black (Generic)
42U-Dark Tarnished Silver Metallic (New color-don't know what it looks like)
67U-Liquid Silver Metallic (Corporate Silver they have on everything)
74U-Victory Red (Bright red seen on trucks)

They also list the orderable options on the vehicle. Interested?

US9-Radio, AM/FM Stereo, sk/scn, ETR, MP3, RD
UW5-Six Speaker System
ZQ2-Power Package
ZQ3-Convenience Package

There appear to be too many radio options listed. I'm betting there will be 2 radios available. A CD player, and a CD/MP3 player. This is preliminary data too. Some of the stuff was misspelled and I had to correct it. In the options codes it also listed production weeks. The first week listed was "Production Week 19" which puts it in the May timeframe.

ZQ2 is probably power windows and locks
ZQ3 has always been the option code for tilt and cruise

That's the show car color...comes from Caddy.
Yes, they do put that color on Caddy's, (42U) but Cadillac calls it Silver Smoke. We've had a CTS that color here, it doesn't seem to match the description of 'Tarnished Silver' to me though. Very well could be the same color though. The ordering codes match, but they re-use color codes all the time. 59U on a Yukon is silver, but 59U on a GTO is Yellow.

Thank you soooooooo much. Can you tell we are starved for information

:grouphug

Some of those options look strange (AC, disk brakes)...are they all extra cost options or do some signify base choices?

SCHWEEEEEETTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :party

Now we know a bunch - Mid May production, which puts them in dealerships about 3 weeks later. Week 19 production means true volume week 20, and that's May 16 or so. Hitting dealerships in earnest mid-june.

Interesting, the Summer Solstice is at Week 25 - only five weeks later. Maybe a big celebration?

RD on the radio options, I think that stands for remote device. Must be an auxiliary plug for stuff like an Ipod and such.

Really, there isn't much on the available options list, just like they said.

Thanks a ton, c'd'!!!!

MCEB, these list ALL the things that make up a vehicle - you'll see the list of stuff on the window sticker. Where there's two versions of stuff, you will have a choice. Imagine a chart beside it with a S or O. Next to the engine, you'll see S. Next to the Urethane steering wheel you'll see S, but O (for optional) next to the leather steering wheel.

The codes just denote the vehicle content, some of it is base some optional. On this I think I might be an expert... spent the last 15 yrs working in GM parts depts messing with those codes all day long. :D

Just keep in mind yellow is usually an extra cost option on GM vehicles. So don't get your heart too set on it unless you are willing to pay a little extra.
Hell yeah 34U, if I can't have orange I want my yellow!!!
Currently the yellow on the Cavalier doesn't cost extra.
The yellow on the GTO is also not an extra cost currently too.
The Millennium Yellow is an extra $750 though on the Corvette.

G80 - Limited Slip Differential here I come!!!
