To whom this may concern:
I am Marvin Towns Jr. President and CEO of the Concours d'Elegance at Cranbrook (www.concoursatcranbrook.com), the show that GM has been the title sponsor and GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz our chief judge and driving force since its inception in 2003. As part of our charitable work we are raffling a 2006 Pontiac Solstice - built to order for the winning ticket holder!

The tickets are $50.00 each. The Winning ticket will be drawn at Noon on Wednesday November 23, 2005 at the Radisson Kingsley Hotel in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. You need not be present to win.

Tickets are available online through our web-site or you can call us at 248 539 2150. There will only be a total of 2000 tickets sold.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Michigan Humane Society, The Variety FAR Conservatory of Therapeutic & Performing Arts, Women's Survival Center of Oakland County and The Concours d'Elegance at Cranbrook.

The Solstice is HOT! Here is a chance to own the car for only $50.00 a chance and donate money to 3 very worthy charities!

We thank you for your support in advance.

Sincerely,

Marvin G. Towns. Jr.

Could you please confirm that the car is built to order. The website states "The Solstice may be viewed and tickets may be purchased at GM World Headquarters at the Ren Cen..." This, to me, implies that the car is prebuilt and the winner will win the car which is displayed.

Is there is a price limit on the car you can build, I see no information about that on the website.

Also, is the donation tax deductible. If yes, can you please provide the appropiate information for tax purposes.

Thank you!

The car will be built to order by the winning bidder and the ticket cost is tax deductible.

And the winning bidder will win a Solstice to order that will be fully loaded with all available options.

Folks one special note about this raffle. This raffle was originally to be drawn at Cranbrook on september the 5th. On september the fifth I am getting ready to get in my car and head over to the raffle of which I had purchased a ticket to see if I was a lucky winner, only to be notified an hour before the drawing that todays raffle has been cancelled and is now moved up to the 23rd of november at the radisson! Obviously not enough tickets have been sold and the raffle moved to a later date! This is almost as sad as watiting for the car you ordered! Ha!

My question would be: If you win, how long before you get the Solstice?? Is it a current allocation on hold with GM or are you stuck at the "back" of the line :(

Worst case senario, win car in November won't see the car until sometime next year :cryin:

No worst case senario is they empty your bank account with the number you use to buy a ticket.
How do I know this is ligit. I'm tempted to buy a ticket, But not that comfortable with using credit card # on a site I don't know for sure is real.

Hank, The raffle is legit as I have purchased a ticket at the concourse. I was just kind of disappointed that they moved the date of the raffle from it's original drawing of september to november! What kind of deal is that! Will it be moved up again! So much for your odds! Not a good thing. Good cause, but bad business!

I guarantee everyone that the raffle date of November 23rd 2005 will NOT be moved again. It will go off as planned. And just as an FYI, the Sate of Michigan Gaming Commission is who regulates and watches over very closely all raffle's. In order to move the date we had to first obtain permission from them and you can bet it was no easy feat and that they are watching the raffle closely as they do with any gaming that happens within the State of Michigan. Please feel free to pass this information along.

Hows it going Marvin! Having a good summer! Still no solstice in my driveway. Still patiently waiting. 1st in dealers 1st allocation. Hopefully soon! I did not see a block on my order form for snow tires at the dealer! (The next door neighbor)

I'm hangin' in there!! Just hoping that all the Solstice lovers out there are feeling charitable and feel as I do that we'll have a mild winter which will give us a few top down days even though snow is somewhere in the cards!

On another thought.... I was fortunate to have one of the Solstice's out of GM's captured test fleet for a week and let me tell ya'--it was a blast to drive! Got more looks in it than in my "Vette"! Not to shabby!

You never came by to offer me a ride! For shame! Hopefully mine will show up soon and I can at least try it out once or twice before having to garage it!
