For those of you with more money than patience and you want a Solstice NOW (like TODAY), there are two for sale in the greater Seattle area.

#1: VIN 1G2MB33B96Y000250 at Clyde Revord Motors in Everett WA. $35,480. http://www.revord.com/
#2: VIN 1G2MB33B76Y000182 at Ford of Kirkland WA. $34,975. http://www.fordofkirkland.com/

I drove #2 above and it is sweet. The $10k markups are too rich for me. I'll keep waiting for my order to eventually show up and save the $10k.

Do have a great weekend.

Sorry but I wouldn't buy a first 1000 car now. Not with all the quality issues. Not even at MSRP. My zz car should be here by Thursday. I'm sure alot of the first 1000 are very leary right now, I've seen quite a few post. And I don't think the value is going to be any more than the regular 2006 in the future.

The one at Ford of Kirkland has been titled and can only be sold as a used vehicle. If you want one that has already been titled, E-Bay is still poping them out at an avg of 28k. Why would anyone pay almost 35K?

Umm, spontaneous stupidity.
More money than good sense.
An ego that demands they be one of the first to own something.
Do you need more? ;)

Sold! $32,500

I drove up to Kirkland to see the Solstice, I thought was green. The salesman said they had sold it earlier in the day for $32,500. But they had some good news They just took delivery of a Ford GT $155K MSRP W/ $100K Markup. Wrong color though, had to pass.

better price on a 1st 1K

Just put an ad in the paper for my #518 (red, loaded) for 29,950. That's a much better price than the dealership markup prices out West. (It's home, covered and locked in the garage w/only 38 miles) - must sell.

who got EOP's

I keep wondering how so many "HONEST" dealers ended up with EOP cars and no buyer. It sure smells like fish to me. The company that Pontiac used to verify eligibility seems to have missed a few. Or are many original EOP winners backing out at the last minute? So many non forum folks entered the EOP lottery on APR. 15 after watching the Apprentice that the real Solstice fanatics were left holding. is this the fall out from this?

Dealer Markup Revolt, cont'd I just hate when I get lied to

I just hate when I get lied to. The first Sol came to my dealer last Friday. I was not expecting an EOP car but it was #000735 with a 1st 1000 badge. Sly Grey. In April the internet salesman at my dealer, Pearson in Sunnyvale, CA who I notice is on the boycott list, told me that "they did not get any of the 1st 1000 cars" Less than a week later he no longer worked there. My point is why should the management bother lying about getting a EOP car unless he is planning sell the MSRP car to a relative and there is a sucker willing to pay the $5000 markup. I am not saying that this couldn't be a misunderstanding on my part but I remember well the day after the Apprentice show how I was amazed that the "server failed" etc. and the disappointment I felt not getting an EOP car so I was ready to order one of the 7 allocated for the year.
I was and am very leery of the $5000 markup but thought I would play along until something happens that convinces me that it is worth it or the markup is reduced or goes away. I can see there is some bad Kharma going on here. I'm leaning towards just walking away from this...

Locater at pontiac.com will show cars now that may be stock allocations, whether they are actually on lot is up to you but 3 in MI one in eastern PA, all 6+ hours from my area, 3 mysterious, 1 deep. All loaded, of course. Bummer is some of these cars beat F1k's that have not yet arrived (several members yet to go)
