This is going to cut some serious time off of my track runs. I considered putting this in the technical section, but opted against. While some have done the badge removal (old hat for most members), I don't think anybody posted the sticker removal. Total weight removed from vehicle was 0.0000572 ounces. Here are my latest mods.

This was done with dental floss, adhesive remover and a blow dryer similar to what other owners have done. Note the handsome devil reflecting in the car!!!

Smoothing rear end

It was never my intent to remove the pontiac names/emblems from the back. But after a few car washes and seeing how dirt and wax got stuck in the lettering, I was forced to do it. I was really concerned that it would look ugly. But I am very very pleased with the results. Could not be happier! Here is what the rear looks like

Convertible Top Sticker

This didn't need any adhesive remover at all. It just peeled off.

Inside Door Sticker Removal

Again, adhesive remover. This sticker looked like it had some important information on it. So when I peeled it off, I stuck it in the back of my owner's manual. I will show you the pics of that later. Note that when you take it off, some of the white backing will remain on the door. You can remove this with the adhesive remover. While the white backing will stay, the important numbers/data will remain on the sticker.

Door Sill Sticker Removal

Two stickers here. The one about Delaware is garbage. But the one about tires you should keep. Placed this in the owners manual as well. Again, yellow/white background might be lost but numbers will remain on the sticker.

I haven't ordered mine yet. Waiting until I get enough money to get them painted. Once I get them painted, I will definately be adding the decals!!!

You can do it yourself, it's a piece of cake.

Also, good pics, and the badge shave looks great. If you did the have you can paint the calipers.

Yeah... not sure what to say. A little weird, but... hey... to each their own.

If you ever buy a car with emblems on them, and by chance you perhaps decide to keep them.. you can clean the wax and buildup off from around them VERY easily with a "soft-touch" bristled toothbrush.

Too funny! I actually think the caliper decals look cool. I like the strobe light effect you get when the car is in motion. The extraneous stickers on the drivers side had to go!

I admit I was a little hesitant, but I really like the look after taking them off. Smooth like a baby's bottom!

He's a STREAKER!! LOL

Now will call you "The Streaker" making your car all naked like that!!

Hey that sticker you took off the door you might want to consider putting back on it has your VIN number and I believe its very important to have on a car for matters like cars being stolen, etc, etc. Should have the build date and color code on it too i believe, at least alot of my GM cars have it there.

I saw a DEVIL in that pic but not sure about a handsome one...

Glad you got your car!

I did keep this sticker and stuck it in the owners manual. There are other places that the VIN appears including a sticker in the glove box and the obvious one under the windshield. If crooks know enough to remove those two, they would get this one on the door too. Just one less ugly thing to look at when I open my door!

Okay cool, I think as long as you keep the car forever and don't have to explain to the one who buys it your okay. Lots of people watch for crap removed like that because of fear of wreck vehicles being sold.

Now when are you removing the Pontiac emblems on the fenders?

OH forgot those have to weigh at least a POUND each..HAHA

Don't think those would look right if they were gone. Then the scoop would just randomly be there. If the scoop wasn't a scoop and was more of a gill type of design (like the Z4), then maybe I'd take them off.

Looked at removing the symbol on the waterfall too, but the area under it is raised, so it would look inappropriate without the symbol there.

OH okay i gotcha... yeah when i was looking at pictures of the Solstice before i saw one in person i thought maybe there was an opening on the fenders in that indention. Kinda like my Z06 had for ventalation and to cool the rotors.

Looks good and clean on the rear end, thats a thought i'm considering, I've already had people asking me if its a Porshe. I wonder if its harder to get the emblems off the longer you leave them on the car?

I would think the sooner the better. Not so much for ease of removal. More because the longer you wait, the more bleaching there will be of your paint in areas not coverd by the emblems. So if you wait for a year, and then remove them, you may find that the paint is darker under the emblems than it is everywhere else.
