It is a sad day. Im letting go of my GXP to get started on my new adventure, fatherhood. I have had a blast on here with you guys. Plus I made a lot of great friends. Maybe someday I will have another beauty. I will check on the forums from time to time. Plus I will be releasing my reservation for the 2014 nationals. So look out for that if you are looking for a room.:grouphug:

Good luck! Unfortunately I have came close to selling my own Solstice earlier this week but thankfully choose to keep it and just upgrade it with +$50,000 rather than sell it for another car. Worst case scenario is just cheapen my modification selection and buy a Toyota Supra and tune it as my race car.

Can never even consider getting rid of my Solstice anymore..

Mixed blessing

You have been a great member of our family. Sorry to see you arrive at this decision.

I will offer my own experience. When my wife became with child we had a 6 month old 1968 GTO . My first new car. Valero green, gold interior, Hurst close ratio 4spedd...posi. "We" decided to sell it. I have regretted every day since that day in 1968...

Would we have found a way to have kept it. We ended up going through a series of crappy cars for years and never did actually save any money.

Best of luck

You are wise man. No room for expensive toys when a family comes along. Once they have left the nest, then you can jump back into the expensive toys. Family has to come first! Congratulations!

I know the feeling. went thru this 25 years ago when we had our first kid and the wife made me get rid of the TA. I went thru years and years of sedans, mini vans, trucks, SUV's but that's just the way it goes. Congrats and take care.

Feel your pain s1. I gave up my '76 Skyhawk for the family and regretted it, but never regretted having the kids...well, not for any length of time anyway. When the boys got up and running on their own, along came BellaV. All a matter of priorities.

It is what it is . You will enjoy the years of growing children and then the time will come again to find a way to relax . Tell the new buyer in 16 or so years you want to buy the Car back . Congrats on the Fatherhood & Best wishes of health to your wife, you and the oncoming child .

Stop in from time to time and say Hi
