I purchased a tonneau that was made for the Sky and it will fit the Solstice...
BUT...on the passenger rear attachment point...it is different from the Solstice. On the Solstice, GM used a clip thing that mounted on the antenna base. Looks like the Sky uses a simple snap, meaning you will have to now drill another hole...a total of four mounting holes...actually five...one behind the drivers seat. The tonneau itself may need a slight modification to the vinyl...needs to be cut, reshaped and stitched in order to fit around the antenna base better. I have not done any of this yet because I have my hardtop back on the car. Hope to mount the tonneau in the spring. Will have my upholstery guy do the mods to the tonneau if needed. A windrestricter cannot be used with the tonneau. The rear drilling template is for the Sky...Solstice is different. I can supply the proper template. Even the rear holes are relatively easy to get to...reach in from the "flap" to apply primer, undercoat, etc. My upholstery guy has black snaps which will "hide" better on the black paint.

Do you have a good picture of what the mounting area looks like at the antenna. It appears to me that there will be a wrinkle in the tonneau if not slightly modified. I like to keep the tonneau as tight as possible...I did look up your previous post w/pictures.

I am wanting a tonneau cover to put over the interior of the car while I'm at work, w/o needing to put the top up. If I don't intend to drive with it on, could I use some adhesive Velcro strips to hold it in place? I would only be concerned about the wind catching it and blowing it off. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Get the tonneau and get it installed right and use it....you will have one of the coolest mods you can do.:thumbs:If you choose not to go this route get a Kappabrella from Kappasphere a much less expensive option and will do the job you want when car is parked.

I have a stock GM tonneau, but I wanted to be able to leave my wind restrictor in place, be able to have the windows up (or down) and and be able to put the top up or down without having to remove the tonneau. Can't do that stuff with the stock tonneau. So I had a custom unit made.

One neat thing about driving with the tonneau installed is that when it's cold, you can turn the heater on, and the heat from the passenger side kinda washes over you in addition to what blasts directly on you from the driver side heater vents. Same thing with cold air from the air conditioning when it's hot.

That doesn't look rain proof. Is it supposed to be?
No, not rain proof. But that's a non-issue. Doesn't rain that much where I live (so Calif.), and I don't take her out if I suspect it is going to rain. And, if I am out and get caught in the rain, I can always put the top up without taking off the tonneau cover.
