Ok....I've done my best at searching for the answer and found alot of great info...just not the answer I need.

I'm aware that there is a Gen 1 and Gen 2 top. What I'm wondering is what the differences are and are they interchangable. I have a spare top and want to replace my '06 with it, but it's a Gen 2 and may just have to be a spare for my '08.

I believe that the difference but could be wrong is that one might have the insulated headliner and the other doesnt.

I had a 2006 and traded it in for a 2008. The only difference I know of is the sound insulator. Because of the sound insulator it is a bit stiffer when taking it up or down.

They are interchangeable

There are mechanical differences in the mechanism. There is a thread that describes the specific differences with pictures. I will look for it.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, there's the headliner, but I was thinking there were plastic parts on the 1st ones that were changed. I'm just wanting to make sure the extra I have can replace my '06 top.
