I was out for a drive yesterday and all was good until 15 miles from home when I couldn't get any more than 2 psi on the readout as I tried to accelerate, where to start looking for the issue?

Classic fail-safe mode. Could be caused by a number of things, many of which are minor. First check that your air intake hoses are all firmly seated and secure. Failure of the worm clamps that can let the rubber parts pop-off (and then back on) to the aluminum pipes, is a common occurrence.

See here: Stock charge pipe hose coming loose question... pics...

Shouldn't there be a service engine light?

no check engine light
all hoses connected good

I ran it again and the first it only went to 6 psi
Then i tried again and there after it wound to 24 psi as ususal.

Could it be a slight garbage in the waste gate that wouldnt seal and it blew out so its good now?

Highly unlikely. I'm surprised you didn't get a CEL. Things just don't "blow out" unless you mean tire.....
