I was at a friends house the other day with my 08 GXP and his wife remarked that the front of my car looked like the talking cartoon cars you see in those Chevron ads. I can't decide if I should be insulted or what. Maybe Chevron used our cars as an inspiration for their ads in which case I should be proud of the image. What do you think?

Is this wife a car person? Take the statement for what it is and whom it was from.

If she is a car person, then it hurts more.

If she is anything like my mom; it means nothing. My mom know nothing about cars but still has an opinion of them. My sis and I refrain from asking her car questions since no answer will be good enough.

I wouldn't sweat it. I was more offended when someone asked me if my car was a Chrysler Crossfire (and they seemed excited at the idea that it was a Crossfire). :(

A friend of mine refused to drive mine saying "I want a Corvette". I don't think he could handle a Corvette either:devil::lol:
My wife and DDM are the only ones who have driven mine despite holding the keys out for the taking more recently last week.

My brother asked me why I got BellaV rather than a good used Corvette. I just said I'd got what I wanted. Didn't mention I had seen no other Sols in the drive from Raleigh to Jacksonville, Fl. Did see about 20 vettes though.

lol! I can picture that.
Click the link Chicken and scroll about 1/2 way down, there is a picture of it that has been given to me on more then one occasion. It started out as the "Hello Kitty" car...so everyone jumped on the band wagon and brought me in a TON of Hello Kitty items. The shrine still exhists on my desk behind me because I have so much of it... :cuss: Then they found that picture...

Love my car, don't care what anyone else thinks! Like I said, any noob that gives me a hard time, I just take them to lunch with me...they quit talking smack real quick! :yesnod:

Easy stuck - the NSA is reading this board you know?

Had a car load of guys drive by in a parking lot and one of them said "I think your car is SEXY!"

I said "Thanks! I'll be sure to let my WIFE know you like HER car."

I always thought the sky had a better looking front end but I wasn't going to drive something called "SKY". sorry, sounds like a girls car to me. Plus everyone I know seems to look down on Saturn as being a poor mans vehicle. I had a 95 and it was the crappiest thing I ever owned but I know they re-vamped their line years later and they are supposed to be rather great. The GXP front end looks better with the larger grill area but I still like the Saturn front even though I own 2 Sol's. The Solstice is a damn sharp ride and every person i talk to really likes it. There's a guy at work that has a light blue Miata and sorry but I would not be caught dead driving that thing. and barbie cars come as corvettes too. I like the Vette's but I don't like the convertibles and that's all I'd buy. If they chopped off about a foot and a half off the corvette, then I'd consider one. the vette convertibles rear looks too long and I've really grown accustom to our short little screamers.

Sounds like it was a case of "consider the source". Doesn't sound like a person with tons of automobile knowledge. Don't sweat it.
