How often does GM update event codes?

My dealer is telling me they are only updated once a week (on Tuesdays). Is this true, or is he trying to limit my trips to the dealership?

CC, SD any input?

GM updates event codes when something happens. Daily.

Tuesday is when the dealerships find out th eresults of the weekly dealer order cycle allocation. That may be what they though you were asking about.

Thanks. I think a trip to the dealer is in order.

Level of access seems to vary

Good luck with that.

I made a trip to the dealer to get confirmation that my car had been preferenced. Turned out the lady who checks the status doesn't do it on-line. She phones somebody.

She seemed quite perturbed that I was questioning the veracity of her information.

I just wanted something I could hold in my hand like a screen shot, that would be a little more tangible than a verbal "your car has been preferenced".

I just had one of the Canadian lads independently confirm my status. It was 2500 it is now 2000 unpreferenced not to be produced this year. Hmmmm, maybe I'll be buying something else. :brentil:

Thank you Pontiac for wasting another summer of my life while I waited for this car. Now I have to wait until next year?

I think after five months, having my car preferenced two weeks ago, only to have in deferred to next year, I have gotten the message:

YOU DON'T WANT ME AS A CUSTOMER.

Updates Don't Matter

It doesn't matter when the event codes are updated, because they don't give you any reliable or meaningfull information anyway!

Ours has been available to ship, Original Invioce, bayed, bayed, transportation hold, bayed, shipped, shipped, bayed, rail ramp unload, intermediate delivery, bayed and shipped. All this took place over a month and a half. And still with all this "information", absolutely noone has any idea what-so-ever where the car has or hasn't been, when it will be delivered, or if it is still at the plant. Then after a week of no updates, the car magically appears at a railhead and they won't put it on a truck to the dealer because, well, noone knows why. After numberous calls and visits to the dealer, calls to Solstice HQ, and Pontiac Customer Service, filing an official complaint with Pontiac...

...It can't be shipped to the dealer because the truck isn't full yet. When will it be full? How many weeks will it take to transport a car 45 miles?

I'll let you know if it ever actually happens.

The problem is there aren't many Solstices shipping to the same geography. So, get a snickers bar...it's going to take a while. They may be shipping, but only if they have enough to fill a truck to a specific narrow geography. red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum red rum

EOP people have had issues because cars had to be returned supposedly to be checked out and possibly have some fixes done for various items. FloridaSol is a post-EOP person, which more then liekly we wont see the same issues and the code updates will be more relevant to us.
