I uhhhh messed up. Removed the top of the air filter case and this nipple broke. I don’t know what this pipe is called but if anyone knows the name, and where I can buy a new one, that would be awesome. Thanks in advance for your help.

My friends and family have learned I have no interest in doing their taxes. 🤣 I don't even like doing my own.

Here's my freshly painted valve cover. After the shop diagnoses the no start I'm going to pull the coil cover off and paint it to match

Billy, i had a similar warm idle loping. The engine was moving around like a varmint in a potato sack.
In my case, i had two problems. One was that a brand new coil pack was dying, but not completely.
The other was a brand new ac delco spark plug sourced from the local Napa Auto parts store.
The center electrode had become loose. I only noticed when i went to gap the plug the third time and noticed the gap was always whatever thickness i put in.
I then took the plug and gently shook it and only then did i notice the center section going up and down like a piston. Never seen a plug do that before. Obviously somebody dropped it before it was sold to me.
Not saying thats your problem but between the intermittently failing coil pack and the loose spark plug i had the exact same symptoms.
thankfully i kept the original coil packs when i replaced them chasing a different problem, so i was able to put them back one by one until i isolated the bad coil. Of course two weeks later a second new coil pack failed and thus you will always see me jump on a thread warning people away feom the ZZP branded coil packs.
OEM or NGK for the win.

also you should check your evap solenoid located on the top (easy access) of your intake manifold. You simply unplug the electrical and vacuum lines, remove one 10mm boltand then try to blow through it like a straw. If you are able to push air through, its bad.
Its a 4 minute, no cost check, to remove it from your list of possibilities.

I appreciate the words of advice, will certainly buy OEM coil packs. However I am running now. It was a new solenoid from PAW that caused it.

Was it just doa or did it get some metal shavings…

Mesh was clear. I don’t have the electrical equipment to test the solenoid and have no idea what was happening but replacing it worked.

Ahh. I have had a few brand new, DOA parts from various sources. Nothing more frustrating in my book as you assume that a brand new part cant possibly be the issue.

It's happened to me more than once. Replaced the injectors on my solstice and one was bad right out of the box which sucked because you have to remove the intake manifold to get to the injectors.

It sucks anytime out babies break down and then getting a new part that's bad. Makes you want to throw tools and cuss like a drunken sailor.
