Alright, so I just spent $12 on 2 LEDs for the mirror and spent $8 for the license plate light. I ordered 212 and 194. The one for the license plate was my fault as I thought I would order a brighter LED and it won't fit.....too big. However, they sent me festoon bulbs for the mirror and they are not festoon! So what number are the mirror light bulbs?

So if the mirror courtesy lights and license plate lights are 921, why do all of the "light bulb guides" call for 212 and 194? Are these just different wattages?

The 212 is a common dome light bulb that is tubular with contacts at each end.
And the 212 is what all of the "lighting catalogs" call for on our cars, but is not the correct bulb. So I can use 194 or 921 in the mirror lights? What about the license plate bulb? The 194 LED bulb I got does not fit. What number should I use there?

May not be enough room for a "921" possibly, but depends on the bulb. Why not just get the ones I posted about?

Why doesn't it fit (it should)? What is the problem? This is what I used: http://www.kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php/topic,3078.msg59796.html#msg59796

Maybe you should post photos of what you've got.

I went with Sylvania LEDriving #168/194 for the mirror and the license plate light.... All seem bright enough and now Soli (aka Ghostly) is ready for her night time photo shoot! ;)

My next mod though is going to be figuring out how to make the license plate light a double light rather then a 45 degree angled single bulb. Need to figure out how to do that! ;)

Hah! I had to do that when I built a bracket for my rear-view (backup) camera install. Just replaced the OEM light fixture with a piece of aluminium angle and epoxied two LED bulbs in. Some pics (the rounded-off end of the strip was just because this was an offcut):

And! Dimensions!
