Hey guys got a wheel question. I read somewhere on this site about having the hubs drilled to fit a set of camaro wheels. Has anyone done this? I am about to buy a yellow gxp and I just happen to have a set of competition grey zr1 knock offs that would look great on this car! If I did manage to get them adapted etc. to the car would 9.5x18 be too wide and could I get 275/35x 18 under it.

Broncs - the search feature can be a little tricky to find. It's on the dark gray bar about 1/3 of the way down on the page. Use the "google" search in the drop-down - it works much better than the standard forum search.

Thanks for the responses the reason I asked and didn't search is because when I use the search option on my ipad or cell as soon as a letter is typed the search drop menu closes itself so after 30 min. Of trying to search for a thread I accidentally came across a few days ago I gave up and just asked the question.

275 all around has definitely been done but you won't know about these particular wheels until you know the offset. Our stock offset is +55 so adapters and the like will only start you off worse. I don't know anyone who has actually gone through with redrilling their hubs but like others have said, there are many threads on here for you.

I will say I know very little about off sets on wheels so here goes a potentially dumb question. If I had the hub drilled for the corvette bolt pattern for wheels made for a 56 mm off set, seeing as the solstice has a 55 mm off set, what would happen? Would they work and can a solstice take a 9.5 in wide wheel without everything sticking out and looking stupid IMO.

With a 9.5in wheel and a +56 offset, you'd move the outer face of the wheel OUT 18mm and would have 20mm LESS space between the inner lip and the wheel well.

An 18X9 inch wheel at +50mm OS barely fits the back. From what I remember, a 18X9.5 inch at +56mm won't work , hitting the upper rear control arm, without spacers and if you add a spacer then it will stick out from the car.
