It will be at NY (site is not promoting it because it's not a big debut anymore). Doubt they'll be showing off their small trunk ;)
I am just getting sick and tired of them not showing the whole vehicle and then expect people to pre order one with out that information!!! I mean come on GM!!! SHOW US ALREADY!!!!
What's the big mystery? We already know what it will look like.

Be patient, first a dealer had to tape the broadcast, then figure out how to transfer image to uploadable, then figure if they want to violate the little copyright stuff from GM ----OR accidentally lose the tape in the circular file and put it out with the trash where it is fair game, heh heh heh. Once your dealer gets his kit I'm sure you can watch it there till the pixels come home.
People are getting way to impatient about this. People were on the Lotus Elise waiting list with a $2000+ deposit for over 2 years before they got to see one in person. And that was pretty much 2-3 months before they shipped to the USA. If the cars don't arrive till July that's still 4 months from now.
I guess I am just impatient for the car to get released!! :) I WANT THIS CAR!! hehe And I guess I am just venting because they didnt have one at my car show earlier this month :(

Sorry no video from my source. I am going to wait for a week and a half for the DVD to arrive at the dealer and see if I can "borrow" it.

Sorry, if you didn't see my reply to the GM Card earnings, my computer was crashed from y-day until about noon....trying to gt work caught up.

The video I tried to make didn't come out...GM scrambled it....audio OK, but o video....stange...maybe I screwed it up. Your local dealer will have a DVD that is made for public viewing available on 4 APRIL. The top, like I mention earlier, calls back to somethig similar on an AC Cobra.

Steve
That top was cool!!!

Actually he's right. From the side view it reals gives the car a low profile. The only thing I didn't like in the brief moment in the broadcast that they showed the top up in the was that the ribs seemed very pronounced. Unlike many modern convertible tops where you barely notice the ribs. Suggests to me that the top material is thin, or a single layer.

GO BADGERS!!!!
Did they show the operation? Is it something you can put up at a stoplight, or do you have to get out of the car?

GO BOILERS!!!....er....um....nevermind

We've known for awhile that the top would not be lined. Thus the single layer look, even if reinforced at the ribs like an MGB.

Yes they did show the top operation and through the magic oF video it looks simple and fluid. Like I said somewhere else, they stuffed it into the trunk showing from a rear view with the lid up so you counldn't see inside! D_m!

Purdue? Next year (maybe).

GO BIG RED!!!!

This totally slipped my mind. Does the top in the video have the AFBTS's (buttresses)? If so, how did they operate for removal?

GM only showed brief excerpts of the dealer DVD in three segments during the broadcast. The total time comitted to the top was probably less then 10 seconds total. Frankly, we will have to wait until we can gets our hand on the DVD the week of Apr 4th and fress frame in order to determine specific issues. Was that a politically correct answer or what?

ON WISCONSIN!!!!
Is the lining for noise reduction? What are the issues here?

GO DAWGS!
