Where we going to put the cake?? Well she rode home with it in her lap. We laughed all the way home. Any one got any funny stories like that?

Even with having a Coupe and a little more storage. Went to Costco one day and thought I could bring home some folding lid storage bins! NOT!:willy:
Also no way to cram in the bulk size package of 12 large size paper towels. Nice concept, but it wasn't going to fit. Had to go back and get my Pacifica!:yesnod::thumbs:

where do I put the cake?

Recently went for a ride on a sunny Sunday, my wife and I stopped at a flea
market. We found an Egyptian cat statue almost three feet tall, great price,
could not resist. My wife rode home with it on her lap with its head sticking up over the top of the windshield! Sure got a lot of strange looks on the way home. Seems any time we get to buy anything we always have the smallest car with us.

Went to Kirklands a couple of years ago and bought a beautiful over-the-couch framed picture. I told the sales clerk it absolutely would not fit in my car. She laughed and said of course it would; they have lots of people shop there with small cars. I had to prove it to her and then I had to ask her to hang onto it until we could return with our Dodge Ram. I love my Sol!!!

I was recently commissioned to do a custom painting for a client. I went to deliver it this past Tuesday. The canvas was 2 feet wide x 4 feet tall without the frame. No problem I thought I'll just sit it in the passenger seat because I want to enjoy my little rocket. Well the painting became a wing and I almost lost it out the back so I had to hold onto it and take back roads the whole way.

I tell everybody "this car continues to actually SAVE me money" because you can't fit a bunch of stuff in it!

I was creating a Rube Goldberg device for the plant floor and needed some PVC pipe. Forgot I had driven the Sol that day. Fortunately the local hardware store would cut just what I needed and I didn't have to haul a 10 foot section back to the plant!

when I first got the 06, the wife and I went to the store to pick up a few things and amongst several things, we got a case of water and 2 24 packs of coke and she wanted to ride with the top down. needless to say, we rode with the top up and she had the case of water in her lap. I did have to bring a dolly, 5 gallon buckets of paint and an 8ft board in it but was able to lay cardboard on the seat and put the top down but that was all well planned out.

I've managed soft luggage for a weekend trip plus 3 cases of wine coming home in a coupe (it would have been 4 cases but SWMBO unreasonably declined having a case of wine on her lap for 3 hours). Going up on my annual wine trek in a few weeks - taking the minivan this time!!

We drove to Maine with the top down for a 3 day stay. We bought a $30 blueberry pie before we left. Left in a slight drizzle but when the weather turned nice we tried to put the top down. No way could that pie fit in. I was so frustrated I was going to toss it into the woods. My wife came up with the idea to crush the center of the hard cardboard box and fit it under one of the tulips. Great car to take the wife shopping. She can't buy a thing.
