Just need one air director assembly tube, it has vent flaps on a linkageyou can direct the ac or heat air. These are about 2 1/2" diameter 2 1/2" long black plastic. These tubes just pull out of the dash. Don't need the chrome escutheon ring.

I may be getting a spare boomerang (with the vents). If I do, would you want a vent from that? I would charge you $10+ shipping at cost ($20 total MAX).

Interested? (it would offset a little of my cost for the boomerang)

As I said in my PMs, it IS from a Solstice and is exactly the same as the ones in my car... an '08 GXP.

Mark, Just got it in mail today, but it is larger in OS diameter than mine, so will not go in my dash opening.

Is the boomerang out of a sky? Mine is a GXP.:(

Yours 2 7/8 dia
Mine 2 1/2 dia
That's very strange! No, it's out of a Solstice (Sky vents are rectangular). I compared the front of the remaining one in the boomerang, with all the ones in my GXP (an '08) and they are all the exact same diameter. So I don't understand. What year is your car?

You ARE measuring the plastic tube, right? Not the foam seal?
I just checked the Nalley site, and it shows the same part for all years:

003 15824746 OUTLET. Air Distributor
OUTLET,I/P CTR & OTR AIR(EBONY). Required: 02
For: M (2006-2010) (2006 - 2010).

I'm guessing you may just be having trouble with the foam seal (I know, it took me a LONG time and a lot of squeezing to get it out). If that's the case, your best bet may be to take the foam strip off, insert the tube, and then reattach some foam weatherseal in it's place from the rear.

I think I've just realized what the problem is!

The vent tubes (like the one I sent you) is actually TWO tubes, one set inside the other (the inner one then rotates within the outer tube). I think you've maybe pulled the inner tube OUT of the outer tube in your car, and are comparing that inner to the outer tube of the assembly I sent you!

You can either pull the inner part out of the one I sent (though you might break it doing that!). OR, better still, remove the outer tube from your dash and replace the whole thing.

Per your email, this vent assembly is also apparently used in the Alfa Romeo 33: http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/f12/solstice-re-use-list-known-so-far-parts-bin-genetics-437/
