In search of Edag Hardtop Shooting Brake kit. Please PM me.
Posting your general location would probably be helpful due to shipping concerns.
I’m in Iowa. Considering the rarity of the top and of course the size…I would likely pick it up.
My unsolicited advice. Advertise, advertise, advertise. Also post on the various FB Kappa groups (with pics), or any free publications that may be popular among auto enthusiast (for example in Craigslist auto section). I'd also figure out a schedule to bump up or repost your request until you find one because it could take awhile.

Rumor is that EDAG only made 20 complete kits before they shut the project down. By a complete kit I mean that in addition to the hardtop it included the attaching hardware, block out panels, headliner, and rear hatch key for the rear window lock.

Forum member Riggs314 is very knowledgable about the top since he owned one for several years (since sold), and has documented what's all involved in installing and removing the hardtop.

FWIW, EDAG made many more hardtop shells than they did the kits to install them. I've seen a couple of the hardtops where folks resorted to unorthodox ways to install them. I've contacted EDAG a few times to ask about production figures, but my attempts to find out more information has been fruitless. Still it would be great to have more knowledge about this very unique product. Good luck on your search.

EDAG is not going to be any help. I have been in contact with the program manager for the SportWagon tops (who was a member here when they were being sold), he told me that there was no information available from them, and he has since left the company.

The tops were built in cooperation with a company named Revenge Design, and when the agreement broke down all of the pieces and other "property" was given to Revenge. I came close to buying the remaining inventory from Revenge's CEO Peter Collorafi, but the deal fell through just before we were able to close it. The parts ended up with a guy in Indiana who was selling them on EBay, and as far as i could determine then, the molds were scrapped.

Twenty seems about right for the combined number of complete tops and complete kits (plus the one Sky prototype). There were about thirty shells and twice that many sets of glass left over but not many other parts, and the most troublesome missing part was the weatherstrip for the door windows, since just about everything else was a commercial part or would be relatively easy to duplicate. I did a lot of searching but never could find a match for it.

The EBay seller was reported to have sourced parts to make complete kits for the shells that he had, but there was never any confirmation of that as far as I could find.

Thanks…this all great information. Hopefully I can find a complete one but may have the composure to piece on together.
Well the pictures you borrowed from Facebook is selling the top, but it comes with the car.

Yeah, we’ve been talking but I already have two solstices…a coupe and a convertible (with a dilapidated top). He’s not interested in separating the top from the car and I’m a little fearful of my wife if I told her that another car wandered home with me. Lol.

This person is selling one with a top and won’t part it but is also selling a spare bare bones top.
You may want to reach out but with no hardware or windows is would definitely be a project:

yes…we have talked about that too. It does not reside with him so he is going to get me some info on it in the coming weeks.
If I can find windows, I may be game as I am pretty good at fabrication of mounts. If there is no window weather stripping that may be a deal breaker.
I did a bunch or research on weather stripping for a Smoothline hardtop recently and came up with a different way to mount the window in that particular top. I may be able to help.

Maybe JohnWR can provide some cross section photos of his weatherstripping?

If I am not mistaken, this car was shown at NASSAM2021 in Traverse City. The owner lives in nearby Interlochen.
is it just the picture or is that metal John?
Except for a thin metal reinforcement around the fingers at the top left of the picture it is all rubber. The end is painted with a silver Sharpie to provide contrast for the camera so that you can see the profile.

Have you ever contacted Trimlock to see if they have something?

I did not directly contact anyone at the time I was looking, I just went through every on-line catalog I could find looking for similar profiles. I would have to dig out the old files to see if they were one of the ones I looked at, but since the extra shells are apparently no longer available I no longer have need for the seals.

Don't forget that all of my involvement with this was 8-10 years ago.
I do like the look of the Edag equipped cars. You lose the convertible (a no-go for me) but if you have two cars... well then why not? Having your very own Pontiac "Clown Shoe". Z3 Coupe owners: be very afraid! 😁

My plan for it - before I got the second Sky - was to put it on during the winter when it was mostly too cold to put the top down, but the weather was clear enough to drive it. That will likely be the plan again, as I am soon going to have more time to work on projects, and you are correct that the second car will keep things more flexible.
