I did not directly contact anyone at the time I was looking, I just went through every on-line catalog I could find looking for similar profiles. I would have to dig out the old files to see if they were one of the ones I looked at, but since the extra shells are apparently no longer available I no longer have need for the seals.

Don't forget that all of my involvement with this was 8-10 years ago.

Good point. With my top rarely up I don't think a lot about wearing those seals out, but it will become an issue for many at some point.
The seller of the Edag topped Solstice mentioned he lives in SW MI, and later mentions Kalamazoo. F/S 2006 with rare Edag hardtop

BTW, I was under the impression that the Edag company engineered, manufactured, and sold the hardtops. I also thought they were attempting or hoping to become a GM subcontract for the Kappa program, but that GM turned them down due to the fear of litigation over concerns that items stored in the rear could fall into the cockpit during a sudden stop and cause an accident. If true, that doesn't explain how the same fear wasn't a concern with the 09 coupe.

I thought that Revenge Design only entered the picture after GM turned Edag down and that RD bought out the Edag inventory. I remember when RD had their fire sale on the tops, but I figured they only did that was because the tops weren't selling, and they wanted to get rid of their remaining Edag inventory.

BTW, apologies to the OP for going off-topic on your search for a Edag top.

@ChopTop : EDAG had been, and may still be, a GM subcontractor prior to the Kappa platform. It was Matt Remenar who told me that Revenge had been given the tops as compensation, and that was confirmed to me by Peter Collafari, but whether that was for work done at the beginning or the end I have no idea. My impression was that Revenge had provided styling for the top while EDAG provided the engineering and manufacture, but that could be totally made up inside my head. I met Matt at EDAG and he gave me a tour of the production, and then met with Peter when I picked up my top from him during the "fire sale", but didn't take notes during either conversation.

I think that the only concerns GM had were financial, presuming that demand would be too small to make the tops a viable product.

My thought is that anything that keeps this thread visible will be OK with @Hindsight , but if he objects to our meanderings I can create a new thread for this discussion.

Continue on…I’m enjoying the education.

Andrew
This is a picture that that Revenge Design sent to me when I expressed interest in a hardtop (they sent me a pic of a red one too), but they should have used a wide-angle lens to make it look longer & wider. BTW, every now and then Ebay has Edag items for sale. I took the pics and put them in some old award certificate frames I had.

IMHO they do not look like the clown shew. as for weather striping ebay has oh somany different varataions to choose from. I have one of the tops, I was going to sell it but now I may use it either on my gxp or on my coupe.( the coupe top would go on my gxp), the guy that was selling them on ebay did not have compleate kits, just windows&top.no hardware. and norm shiped seperatly the rear hatch fiberglass peice that needs work to fit the glass and to fit the top.Im not sure why that is but thats how mine arived.it wouldent of been hard to make the rear hatch fit the glass & top or just the glass. I wish I had bought 2 tops when I got it.butt I didnt.
on another note, whats a shooting break?

I think that you have a very do-able project. If you get tired of it though…drop me a line!

Of several of these parts there are drawing in the installation manual.

Is there any source for the rear glass and /or hardware?
Is there any source for the rear glass and /or hardware?
I have been searching for a few months now…if the glass exists, no one seems to want to give it up or te anyone that they have it.

personally, I don’t see the hardware being that hard to fabricate, especially if you can hook up with someone who has a complete top.

Do you have a shell?
Is there any source for the rear glass and /or hardware?
There is a limited quantity of glass out there and as stated, most of the hardware is either commercially available with the rest relatively simple to fabricate. The sticking point has been the window seals, as no one that i am aware of has found the source.
I'm thinking that the guy who bought the remaining Revenge Design inventory and was advertising incomplete tops for a couple years on Ebay & Craigslist would be the last hope of any Edag parts left overs. I corresponded with him a few times but was too short sighted to have saved the emails.

I'm checking one out tomorrow (EDAG top installed) but no rear glass/hardware ...if anyone come up with spare parts of solutions/options ... lemme know ASAP??
FWIW, here's a couple related threads regarding two forum members documenting installation of their Edag tops.

Bump. Still looking

I have a coupe soft targa top that I would consider trading.
