Are you sure it's broken irreparably? I know RobTheElder has said he's repaired a number of them by just re-clicking them together (I think). PM him.

I have 2...one broke, acquired another one, repaired the broken one with some super glue....reinstalled it and has been fine for over 6 months.

Agreed. Must've been the same engineer who (over) engineered the cupholders in SAABs... neat fold-away trickery, but didn't hold spit and once they broke, forget it...

Conversely, the most expensive non-POS part I've seen recently is the Solstice 3rd brake light... averaging $150 - $175... so glad I got mine for $9.

OP: I agree that the Santana is expensive, but in the long term any GM replacement is going to break again. And eventually there will be no NOS or functioning used ones. Just my :jm2c:
