Starting to see the pitfalls of a low car. Pulled into a parking lot the other day and put a nice crease in my fender from the wheel well to about 5 inches past where the fender ends under the door, hit the curb.

I think under the door can be fixed as it is mostly scratched, but the 1st 4 inches by the fender well has a nice long crease.

I am sure someone put on some nice fiberglass fenders and have a perfect condition one sitting in the garage. Mysterious black if I am really lucky.

I saw replacements in primer on eBay for about $80 shipped, anyone use these before?

As a side note if it's not a G.M. part which you can still get chances are it's made in China, Korea who knows where anymore . .Years ago I had a GMC truck and had to replace the front fenders (common back then) they were aftermarket had a hell of a time fitting them getting the gaps to be proper .Moral of the story you get what you pay for .Search E Bay for a grill or headlight assembly and you will run across salvage yards with parts for sale email them and tell them what you are looking for, sometimes they have the part you are looking for but it is not advertised in the listing .Good Luck!

I do have a set from a 2009 black GXP but the passenger side one has some small dents (no paint loss) on the bottom part of the fender.

I had the same experience last year (still haven't fixed it up...).

You can buy the primered front fenders on amazon for about the same price as the ebay stuff. I bought one, but haven't fit it up yet. they said it was the OEM replacement part, so I'm sure it will fit fine. There are a lot of Solstice cars on the road, so the body shops are probably still buying parts.

I'm a bit iffy on the rear fender replacement. Apparently the fender / rocker is spot welded and glued in place. To remove, you have to drill out the spot welds (not a big deal) and then use a heat gun to slowly pry off the glued portions.

You might want to get a quote for that job before you buy the parts, as I think the labour will be through the roof...... price we pay for the flowing body of the Solstice I guess.

Looks like the cost of the fender is about $510 new from GM, unpainted.

I think you are a bit confused, he's looking for the front, not rear fenders.

GM Parts sites show the fenders for about $85
