The PDF would be so much simpler. If I end up buying a hardcopy I may look into it.

Thanks for all your input folks. I will reach out to the publishers and see if they have any interest in offering an e-book. I’m sure many of us would be interested in purchasing that directly from them. It would be a Win-Win: they make money, we avoid the absurd markups.
