OK. After over a year of talking about it, it's Ooofficial. The SWSC New England/Poconos 2014 NASSM Bucket List Cruise will be June 7th-22nd. The first Ooofficial day will be Monday, June 9th, so back plan from your location to get to Victor, NY on the 8th for check in. Here's what we got planned:

Victor, NY June 9-11 (Mon-Niagra Falls, Tue-Watkins Glen/WG State Park, Wed-Wineries/Whatever)
Travel to Portsmouth, NH June 12 & 13 (Thu-Ft Ticonderoga & Grand Isles, Fri-Mt Washington & Portsmouth, NH)
Portsmouth, NH June 14-17 (Sat-Maine Hwy 1 & Lobsta, Sun-Concord/Lexington, Laundry & Lobsta, Mon-Further up 1 & Mo' Lobsta, Tue-Boston Freedom Trail & Lobsta Overload)
Travel to Poconos June 18
Poconos NASSM June 19-22

We are planning on invading Canada while we're at Niagara, so if you want to go, make sure that you have a passport.

Here's what I'm looking at for hotels. Since we've found out from a couple of hotels up there that we're not big enough to be a 'group', we gotta make individual reservations. What I've been looking at are Best Western Plus hotels. Not the best, not the worst, just a known quantity. The rates are better at bestwestern.com instead of using the individual hotel websites. Keep in mind that some rates are nonrefundable, so take a close look at it before you book. June is a long way off.

For those who haven't made a SWSC Bucket List Trip, the Ooofficial Itinerary is what mrs stuck and I are planning on doing. Your results may vary. If there something you want to do or a place you want to stay that is different; Have at it and if it's better than what we have planned, we might go, too. Bottom line: It's your money, it's your time, it's your car, do as little or as much as you want.

I will have to come and say hi to who ever stays at the Best Western since its only less then a mile from my house here in Portsmouth NH . There is a lot of construction on rt1 right now so next year will probably be better for you. Sounds like somebody wants lobster

This will be fun. This is our 3rd serious road trip as the SWSC Bucket List Cruisers. We did DisneyWorld earlier this year and had a fantastic drive around Northern California the year before last.

Restaurants in Portsmouth, NH List of restaurants on line. We have a lot in town and the surrounding area. You will want to take time to drive the coast line as well,from Wallis Sands Beach to Hampton Beach there are good views of the ocean as well as some great mansions to see, The Fuller mansion is very nice looking and has its own gardens that can be toured.

Hope you all have a safe trip, weather has been up and down here. Only have broken 80 one day but we have occationally had to run the heat in house on a few. Rain has been dominate lately. Hope it is nice for your trip. Bob D.
