New GXP Owner

I'm new to the Forum. First time poster, short time lurker. I bought my GXP last night after turning in my 04 GTO. I've driven a GXP before for a few weeks from work, so my purchase decision was easy.

I thought the transition from an LS1 to an LNF would be tough, but I just love the GXP more that expected. It's a much more refined vehicle in general. I will do a review in the future, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi.

On a side note, does anybody know why I can't edit my signature in my User CP?? It says I'm not allowed!

Welcome aboard. The reason you could not edit your sig would primarily be due to having not been approved yet. First posts all must be approved by a moderator as an anti-spam measure. Sometimes we get behind, but yours at just over an hour is pretty good for a Friday night. Try again and if you still can't edit after about an hour it would then be due to a 30day/30post upgrade. But I don't recall the sig being part of that. I would think that your GXP would certainly be more of a driving car, not that there was anything wrong with the goat you traded, but even a base Solstice just begs to be driven, not just ridden in.

Thanks for the warm welcome and feedback on the signature. It looks like I should be learning a lot about my new girl. I can't wait until she's broken in. I only have 60 something miles so far...that should change this weekend!

Thanks, Dave. Nice to see another Michigan Sol owner. I'll have to see if there are regional forums on here and maybe meet up with some of the other Michigan owners this spring and summer!

Congrats. I'm driving an 04 GTO, and went to price a GXP today. The dealer is going to get back with me Monday when he finds the car I want. I can't wait.
