I have one on my gxp but not the coupe. speaking of coupe.I drove by the body shop today....the coupe was out side with the fuseek ed up hood so i took pic of it where you can see they droped the hood and effed up the hood& new paint, and trying to tell me they hood was like that when I took it to them...new unpainted.... they were not open.

best for direct injected of all the top brands they tested. but yes its' all subjective you could run cooking oil if you wish to.I ran ms tuckers cooking oil in our dirt bikes in japan when thats all i had. Never a issue at all.it was the acetone that tended to put holes in pistons. I didn't have it jetted quite right. good think I was in Japan where the piston & rings was $6.
That's one variable. There are other variables that make oil selection based on use case that will factor into what is "best" for your application. If you watch enough of his videos, you'll see he considers other factors in his "3 R's".

I had planned to advance further on the cleaning and putting back together of the SSBC brake calipers, however with my brother's children being around (5 and 10 yo) all that I did get done was help them and their auntie Mrs. 008 build these model houses, spaceships, helicopter, boat and RVs out of 30 year old Lego blocks from my (and my brother's) childhood days.

Thanks. This is at my parents' (well, it's been 11 years it's mom only). Brother stays at her house when he comes to visit. My place is right beside. I do love that floor but it was built about 30 years ago when everything was cheaper; a few years ago when we did the costing to put it in our house we kind of had a minor stroke there for a moment looking at the price, so decided to scale back and only put it on a small area of the house to reduce cost to something palatable...

I have been researching synthetic oil for at least as long as I have had access to the internet.

I can find "hard evidence" why just about every oil type is the "best". I have given up on doing research.

When I started using synthetic oil back in the 80s, the word was you could NOT use it in an engine that was not new. It would cause every gasket to leak and the engine would blow up.

I look at "testing" askance now.

We had an engine rebuilt in the early days of synthetics that we put synthetic in from new and the rings would not seat so it was burning a lot of oil. The rebuilder advised non-synthetic for break-in, the oil consumption stopped, and we switched back to synthetic.

I don't know if rings changed or if cylinder machining changed, but that particular problem went away.

I heard about engines leaking after switching to synthetic but didn't experience it, and there is no way to know if those engines wouldn't have started leaking at about that time anyway.

Good point
I have had new vehicles a few years ago that stated to NOT use synthetic during break in period for that reason.

But that was a while ago.

Installed new LED lights in the Dragon. And of course the weather covers don't fit. Had to use some judicious heat and reforming tools to clearance them adequately

Installed my rear brakes, just to find out the bracket is incorrect for the new, slightly smaller rotor used in the kit. Now I await a milled down bracket to arrive some time this week. I also had to file down the sides of the pads to get them to go in the bracket. This is on top of 2 incorrect rear calipers, 2 incorrect front hats, and 4 incorrect front bolts. Kinda takes the fun out of it when you're over 2 months since purchasing these things.

But the car sits in the way until then...

And since it's blocking my S2000, I went ahead and swapped ECU's from an AEM I've been running for 10+ years to a Haltech Elite 2500.

Ah, it's nice to have validation of my filing the pads solution by a pro!

Sorry about the bracket and rotors mismatch.

I installed my new intercooler and charge pipes last night at midnight. The bumped cover was a pain to do by myself and the old couplers had me invent some new cuss words. The brackets were much easier than I expected. I was able to bend them by hand. Took about 30 seconds to do. Also not recommended to wrap up at 3am I forgot to tighten the upper clamp bolt on my hot pipe behind the bumper. I was less than pleased when I lost boost on my test drive

gotta install the new downpipe on Saturday and then it’s tune time

By this you mean the stainless steel mesh brake hoses? Having done it for the first time during my brake caliper swap, I can say I never imagined it'd be so simple. I mean, I had an idea but still got surprised at how easy. The most time consuming part is bleeding the system afterwards.

I swapped to stainless lines several years ago. My thoughts at the time were that it was relatively straightforward and the most time consuming part was replacing the brake fluid. But it was due that in any case.

My previous experience was when I put stainless lines on my Sportster
