I agree, I've wore B&L Ray-Bans for years. I've tried others, but they are still my favorites.
The only pair I ever had that I liked more were my old OP Surfpros. They looked like Wayfarers, but they were rubber, so they wouldn't break. I was really hard on my sunnies when I was surfing. I had those things for years, then lost them in a bad wipeout that ripped the croakies off. I swam out to look for them, but it was closing out and I got really beat up. It was like losing a friend. :(

 Ray Ban Wayfarers in Tortoishell - they match my hair. I wish the black worked for me, but they don't.:cryin:
I had to go with the black because they don't make them in blond.

Forgot the name, but the ones in my avatar are Ray Bans and they fit me great  I wear a pair of Oakley Half Jacket SIs (Standard Issue) when in uniform or working out. (they have a subdued 0)

Wiley X Romer II. Semi ballistic grade (I use these when riding the trike too). Interchangeable lenses, lots of colors for lenses, wrap around style. Also issued to US forces.
I have those sunglasses also, I think they are great - but I only wear them when I'm on my motorcycle.

When I'm in my Sol I think the Romer ll just makes me think I'm still on my bike.

I like many of the Serengeti sunglasses for cruising in my Sol. I currently wear either the Serengeti Aviator or the Serengeti Corsa.

I wear the Serengeti Aviator when I'm in my airplane:

I have a pair of Polarized A Wires

And a pair of Polarized Big Square Wires

AustinTashis I love the Ray Bans. And John Richards how do your Offshore fit. I have not seen a pair in store to try on. But I love having all 4 of the lenses polarized.
The Maui Jim Offshores are great. They fit my head perfectly and I love having the side protection from low sun to the left. They are very close to my eyelashes, so I leave them a little loose, which is fine because they wrap around very nicely. Got them at Sunglasses Hut in downtown San Francisco.

I usually buy cheap ($7 to 15.) jobs with 100% uva & b protection. For the Sol, I HAD to find just the right pair.

It took a full month as I was intent on finding a perfect color match (a total surprise to my wife, as I am usually NOT a matching kind of guy). End result- RayBan wrap around with a moderately wide stem in AGGRESSIVE! I miss read the price tag (a total surprise to me!) but they were meant to be seen in a Solstice.

See 'em in Nashville!

I've worn Ray Bans, Serengetti's, Foster Grants
and cheapo's.
Right now I have Maui Jim's "Kanaha"

Very comfortable and they do a great job of blocking
any glare. Lightweight and flexible. Well worth the money.
I have had bad luck with breaking or losing sunglasses
so I am being extra careful with these.

I said something about this thread to my GF, she counted I have 17 pairs of singlasses right now, 1 prescrition pair, 2 pairs of Gatorz, 1 Icicles (I wish they still made these) 1 Vuarnet and the rest are cheapo's. I have a cheapo pair in Mean Yellow I picked up at the Harly Shop that a really nice for a $14 pair of shades and I love the fact they match the car. I am saving for my prescription shades with the Drivewear lens. (about $500 ) I am hoping new medical plan will pay some.

I have a pair from REI like these. Nothing expensive and very comfortable.

SINglasses? Do we dare to ask what you wear them for?
It's obvious I need to be wearing the prescription ones, maybe I could type better, but actually singlasses is not such a bad thing:devil:

I currently wear the Oakley's M Frames, have been since I got the vehicle 6 months, with them being polarized, they help a lot.

I love the Oakely's, looked at them years ago and almost bought them until I found out what it cost to have the prescription put in , that killed that right there. Prescription is ground or molded into the lens by the manufacturer, was definitely a case of sticker shock. Still on the top of my list though, love the look of them.

I wear Bolle sunglasses because I can put in a prescription insert. Have a pair of the swiftkick model. Have used Bolle's for years when cycling.
I wear bolle's for the same reason, also for the rubber-like frame because I tend to drop them sometimes. I have the cranebrakes I think. I bought them a while ago.

Come on now! They've been featured in many a popular picture here on SF; the two extremes AND some in between. If you've met me in person (natls or a run) you've seen me wearing them! They are prescription and they're all I've got, I love them to death... which is why I spent ~$350 on them. Good ol' 8 base, backside AR, RED MIRROR coat, custom ordered polarized sunglasses:

Looking in my glove box in my caddy I found this pair. They are Electric Digit polarized.

I know when I bought them was right after ordering my solstice. And I know what I was thinking these will look great in a red car with a black top. The fade from red to black looks great. But they are a little to kiddie for me now.
